Panchamirtham in Ooty

After establishing himself as a successful film distributor, Ramanathan, managing director, Abirami Mega Mall, has ventured into film production. His maiden production venture titled 'Panchamirtham' is currently being shot in the exotic locales of Ooty. The movie went to floors recently in which Nasser plays a prominent role. Jayaram, Samiksha and actress Saranya are also in the cast. The movie directed by Raju Eswaran, associate director for Rajinikanth's English movie 'Blood Stone', has musical score by Sundar C Babu. L Ganapathy has penned the dialogues. 'The film has been designed as an entertainer and will have a blend of commercial elements and a contemporary fantasy story. All the artistes have done tremendous jobs,' said Raju Easwaran. Dwelling further he said, 'Mareesan, a mythological character in Ramayana comes alive today. Can he overcome the guilt for being a party to the kidnapping of Seetha is the crux of the story. However, it's no mythological film, he added. The movie would be released in the second week of December, said Raju Eswaran. A song featuring Saranya Mohan was shot in Ooty and actress-cum-dance master Gayathri Jayaram choreographed it.

Panchamirtham to be served in Dec

Noted exhibitor Sv Rm Ramanathan's 'Panchamirtham' will hit the screens this December. Directed by Raju Eshwaran, who worked as an associate in the Rajnikanth starrer 'Blood Stone', the film has Jayaram and Nasser playing lead roles of mythological characters Maarichan and Naradhar. Raju says, "Though there are mythological characters, it is a socio-fantasy film. The movie has lots of graphics which go along with the scenes." 'According to the epic Ramayana, Maarichan (the deer for which Sita gets abducted) dies of guilt that he cheated Sita. In 'Panchamirtham', the heroine (Saranya Mohan) comes in search of her grandfather (Nasser) to Ooty. The villains push her from a hillock, and she falls on the ground where Maarichan is buried.' 'Maarichan comes out of the grave and saves the girl. How he helps her to achieve her task forms the rest of the story. The director also enacts the role of Idumban', he says. Cinematography is by Kasi Viswanathan. Panchamirtham would be released in the second week of December.

Abirami Ramanathan ready to serve 'Panchamirtham'

Abirami Ramanathan, managing director, Abirami Mega Mall has finally ventured into movie production. A successful exhibitor and a popular film distributor, Abirami Ramanathan forays to film production with his maiden venture 'Panchamirtham'. The movie would go to the floors on the 13th of July in AVM Studios in the presence of the biggest names in Tamil Cinema. Nasser plays a prominent role in the movie and a song sequence would be shot on the inaugural day itself. The movie would be directed by Raju Eswaran, who was the associate director for Rajinikanth's English movie 'Blood Stone' produced by Ashok Amritraj. Sundar C Babu would score music while cinematography is by Kasi Viswanathan. It is a hilarious entertainer for all-sections of audiences and would be released in the second week of December. 'In a novel attempt, those going to Abirami theatres to watch the movies being screened there would be given special tickets to watch the shooting of Panchamirtham', says sources close to Ramanathan.

Vivek, Vadivelu in Panchamirtham?

'Panchamirtham' is a story that revolves around the mythological characters Idumban and Mareesan, when they come to Earth. The problems they face form the crux, says director Raju Eswaran. Panchamirtham is produced by Abhirami Ramanathan, managing director, Abhirami Mega Mall. 'The film is a hilarious entertainer with Jayaram and Nasser playing prominent roles besides me', says Raju Eswaran. Nasser plays a dual role that of saint Naradha and that of a rich landlord. Efforts are on to cast popular comedians Vadivelu, Vivek, Karunaas, Ganja Karuppu, Sathanam among others in guest roles. Sundar C Babu is scoring the music while cinematography is by Kasi Viswanathan. 'Panchamirtham' would be released in the second week of December.
