Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram on 26 April

Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram will hit the screens on 26 April. The movie is a remake of Kannada blockbuster Jogi and features Dhanush opposite Meera Jasmine. National award winner Archana plays Dhanush's mother. Says Suresh Krissna, 'The story and screenplay are the backbone of this film. I ensured that the originality is not in the movie. Dhanush was co-operative and did his job well. Fortunately everything fell into place. All the people around me supported well. But for their co-operation, the movie could not have been completed'. On his part, Dhanush says, ''People started to compare me with my father-in-law (Rajinikanth). He is a seasoned artiste and has achieved a lot. I am just an amateur. However with expectations soaring high, I want to live up to them'. With all post production works too completed, Parattai is ready to enthrall film-buffs this weekend.

Will Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram release on 26 April?

Actor Dhanush has reportedly reached a compromise with producer Keyar over the film Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram. Uncertainty prevailed over the release of the movie after Dhanush has moved a court in Chennai on Friday to stay the release of the movie. The film was scheduled for a release on 26 April. He had stated in his petition that the producer of the movie, KR Infotainment had not paid his salary. He has prayed the court to stay the release of the movie untill his outstanding salary is settled. The court had directed the producer to file a counter-affidavit on Monday. Dhanush had alleged that it was agreed by the producer to pay him Rs two crore as salary to act in the movie. However it was further reduced. The producer had paid him only small amount and the rest is still to be settled. Dhanush took up the issue with South Indian Film Artistes Association and he agreed to reduce his salary. But even the producer did not pay the remaining amount. Meanwhile, the honchos of the Producers Council held a meeting a late last night on Friday and reportedly brought a compromise between them. Dhanush and Keyar had agreed to sort out differences and that he would dub for the remaining portion of the movie Saturday. Sources in the Producers Council assured that the movie would make it on 26 April

From the sets of Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram

Dhanush's Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram is all set to rock theatres soon. The highlight of the movie would be catchy performance by National award winning actress by Archana. Playing Dhanush's mother, Archana, the dedicated actress, has got very much involved with the script. Braving the soaring mercury, she has traveled all the way to the shooting spot down south in her car to be on time. Also she gets with her dialogues a couple of days before the shooting of her sequences. Equally amazing has been the art work. A set resembling a tea shop was erected where a few scenes involving Dhanush were being shot. Interestingly people in the neighborhood mistook it for an original tea shop and visited the place. Dhanush, whose career is on a high after Thiruvilayadal, is called by everyone in the sets as Rajini Mappillai. Produced by Keyar and directed by Suresh Krissna, the movie is all set to hit screens this summer.

Parattai - Suresh Krishna steps in

Director Suresh Krishna, who directed Rajinikanth in movies like Annamalai, Baasha and Baba, is all set to wield the megaphone for Super Star's son-in-law now. Interestingly, Raju Sundaram, who was supposed to direct Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram starring Dhanush, backed out at the last moment. Now the producer of the movie Keyar has passed the baton to Suresh Krishna, who has recently completed his Hindi venture Rocky. Sources close to Keyar said, 'Raju Sundaram had readily agreed to direct the movie. But when things were in place to commence shooting, the choreographer had reportedly backed out stating that his busy commitments to do choreography in Telugu and Hindi movies prevented him from concentrating the movie.' Keyar is keen on completing the movie at the earliest. Hence he chose to have a golden handshake with Raju Sundaram and replaced him with Suresh Krishna.
