Marriage means equal partnership: Imran Khan

Actor Imran Khan believes that to make marriage work, couples need to share responsibilities. “In India, it is taken that washing clothes, and things like this is a woman's job, and not what men do, which is an unhealthy attitude... a thought process which is not conducive for a healthy relationship. "Both need to take on equal responsibilities to make their relationship work,” the “Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola” star, who is currently promoting detergent brand Ariel's 'Share the Load' movement, told. The 32-year-old, also a father to daughter Imara Malik Khan, believes that "once you become a parent, so many of our priorities get re-aligned in life". "You start to realize that there are so many things that you used to earlier care about are completely unimportant now. Everything becomes about your relationship, your child, about your responsibilities towards your family," said the actor, who tied the knot with Avantika Malik in 2011. Any tips for first time fathers? "Whenever you change a diaper, make sure everybody sees you doing it and show what a father you are," he said. Talking about Mothers' Day, which is celebrated on second Sunday in May, Imran said: “If you love your mother, tell her every day. I don't believe in specific days that are followed these days.”

"Rumi's plot for LIFE PARTNER is brilliant" - Abbas Mustan

Early this year, RACE did a business of close to 60 crores flat but that hasn't changed the way director duo of Abbas-Mustan conduct themselves. Still being their humble self in spite of delivering the biggest money spinner of their close to two decades career, Abbas-Mustan are now busy in getting their production plans in place. "Currently we are concentrating on the films with Rumi Jaffrey and Rohit Jugraj. First to come on floors is Rumi's film LIFE PARTNER", informs Abbas. What is the film all about? "Honestly, Rumi's subject belongs to the kind that has never been seen before in a Hindi film. It is not just a family film; instead the script has got various ingredients to it which bring on a unique flavor", continues the film maker. Can he shed some more light on the subject? "See, I can't talk much about it since a) I would want audience to experience the unique plot that the film carries and b) It is difficult to really describe the movie in a sentence or two. Rest assured, Rumi has got a brilliant plot in hand and we are are sure he would do a great job on the film." Another film which is making headlines is the one to be directed by Rohit Jugraj. Some reports in the past have indicated that the director of JAMES and SUPERSTAR is adapting Hollywood hit CHARLIE'S ANGELS for his next film. "Absolutely untrue", says an amused looking Abbas, "I don't know how and from where do such rumors originate. Rohit's film has nothing to do with CHARLIE'S ANGELS. Yet again, the film boasts of a brilliant plot and seeing Rohit's potential in SUPERSTAR makes us firmly believe that he is one young film maker to watch out for." Meanwhile the director duo continues to work on the script of their next film. "While we are busy with our production plans, we are also working on the script of out next directorial venture. It will be some while before we get back behind the camera."

A partnership extended

Pawan Kalyan, as we have repeatedly written, likes to do things in his own chosen way. Not for him the beaten path. His Bangaram is one of the biggest releases of the summer. Though delayed, this big budget movie, directed by Dharani and produced by A M Rathinam, has been carrying good reports. Obviously the film should have come out well. Otherwise would Rathinam go on to sign Pawan for another movie? Pawan and Rathinam's association date back to their Kushi days. The news is that Rathinam will produce a new movie that Pawan himself will direct. It is not clear whether Pawan will take up this project after Annavaram (the remake of Tamil Thirupachi). Anyway Pawan's directorial venture is titled Satyagrahi. The news is also that it will have music by A R Rehman and camera by P C Sreeram. The muhurat is slated for tomorrow.
