Meenakshi, who made her debut in Tamil with Karuppasamy Kuthagaitharar will romance Sundar C for her next film. The young actress from Kolkata, won appreciation for her maiden venture. She played the female lead opposite Karan. She is now assigned to play Sundar C's heroine in Perumal. Directed by Vincent Selvah, Perumal features Sundar C, Namitha in lead roles. Meenakshi has now been roped in to play the second heroine. Vincent Selvah says, "Both Namitha and Meenakshi have enough scope to perform. It is not a triangular love story."
CM to release Perumal audio
Chief Minister M Karunanidhi will release the first copy of the audio cassette 'Perumal' starring Sundar C, Namitha and Vivek. The movie has musical score by Srikanth Deva. Interestingly Karunandihi's grandson M K Muthu Arivunidhi makes his debut as singer with the film. Directed by Vincent Selvah, the movie is produced by Shanmugham for Srishti Films. The first copy would be received by actor-director Bhagyaraj in the presence of Tamil Film Producers Council president Rama Narayanan. The audio launch would take place on 18 July in Chennai in which who's who of Tamil cinema would be present. Sundar C, who ventured to acting from wielding the megaphone, has emerged a mass hero rendering back-to-back hits. He is confident that 'Perumal' too would make it big at the box office.
