Shilpa Shetty hosted Bigg Boss reality show is marred with controversies one after the other leading to set backs. After Jade Goody's unexpected exit from the show, now it is caught up with a criminal dimension. The entry of Bollywood starlet Monica Bedi has raised a legal question that law enforcers would like to get clarified. Monica Bedi extradited from Portugal with Mumbai don Abu Salem in 2005 and lodged in the City's central Jail in connection with fake passport case and now she is under bail. She was acquitted by the Chief Judicial Magistrate's (CJM) court here and later by the Sessions Court; the prosecution has appealed against her acquittal in the High Court. Now the police have to probe how she influenced the team of Bigg Boss and got an entry in to the show. It is suspected that underworld pressure ensured a place for Monica in the reality show since there was a similar practice prevailed in the past. In the controversies side Aamir Khan's brother Faisal Khan and Ramdas Athawale, President of RPI and MP, Lok Sabha have complained about their being dropped out. Faisal Khan filed a case against the organizers for not disclosing the reason behind his removal. Athawale went a step further and alleged that he was dropped because of his Dalit background. It is reported that his supporters ransacked the Colors TV premises and broken windowpanes, furnitures and fittings both inside and outside.
Police Samrajyam in November 2nd week
The Malayalam hit film 'Tiger' directed by Shaji Kailash with Suresh Gopi and Gopika in the lead is being dubbed into Telugu as 'Police Samrajyam' by Surya Shekhar on the banner of Sri Chilukuri Balaji Productions. Surya Shekhar says, 'I saw the movie in Kerala and liked it very much. There was tremendous response from the audiences to the film. The powerful dialogues penned by Bharatibabu for the Telugu version would be another highlight. Presently DTS mixing is nearing completion and we are planning to release the film in November second week'.
'Police Story-2' gets final touches
Dialogue King Saikumar played hero in blockbuster called 'Police Story' some 10 years ago. The dialogues in the film created a sensation and are still reverberating in the minds of the audiences. Each character in that film had a sensation in itself. Several artistes are still mimicking his dialogues and are imitating Saikumar in any show. Now 'Police Story-2' is coming up as a sequel to the film. The director of the first film Shaji Kailas is again wielding the megaphone for this film and is being produced by Venkat on the banner of RR Movie Makers, which had produced several hit films like 'Hangama and Samanyudu'. Achireddy is the presenter. Presently the film is in final mixing at Ramanaidu Studios. At the same time, songs recording are also being held at Prakash Studio under the musical direction of RP Patnaik. The producer is making efforts to release the film on February 7.
'Police Story-2' to hit screen on Feb 9
The Saikumar starrer 'Police Story' which was released some 10 years ago created a sensation and remained a blockbuster during those days. Almost every mimicry artiste continued to imitate those dialogues even now and several comedy artistes also used the mannerism to entertain the audiences in various films. Now, producer Venkat had produced a sequel to the film in the name of 'Police Story 2' on the banner of RR Movie Makers, with Achireddy as its presenter, under the direction of Thriller Manju. The film will have all kinds of commercial elements and would be very near to the mindset of current generation audiences. Rumours are at it that Venkat, who had produced two successful films like Hangama and Samanyudu, would achieve a hattrick with this film. Saikumar says, 'We almost used the same artistes for this film too, but some characters were replaced by Sana, Jeeva and Ramireddy. I am sure that the sequel would also remain another milestone in my career. We are planning to release the film on February 9.'
'Police Police' hits the floors
The shooting for the film 'Police Police' started on a brisk note yesterday, April 15, 2008, at Hyderabad. The main leads are being essayed by Sriram and Prithviraj, as young cops. Though Sriram is a known face among the Telugu audience this is the first film for Prithviraj in Telugu. Though he is a Malayalam actor, he has done films in Tamil as well as his dubbed films in Telugu have been released here. The director of this film is Manmohan and he is debuting in this film as a director. The first schedule of the film has been set from April 15th to May 10th and in this schedule a few stunt sequences, some important scenes as well as a song will be shot. This film also has one more highpoint in the sense, Peter Haines, the stunt choreographer will be responsible for the stunt scenes in the film. For all those action buffs, this film will sure prove an entertainer. 'Police Police' is being produced by Chandu under the banner of Pinnacle Pictures. This film also introduces Pooja, a model from Mumbai, as the heroine. The cast of 'Police Police' also includes Brahmaji, Sivakrishna, Chalapati Rao and Vikram. The background music and the songs will be composed by Chakri. Art direction will be by P.S.Varma. We wish this new team the best of luck in making this film a grand success!
'Police .. Police' enters into 4th Schedule
'Okariki Okaru' fame hero Sriram and Mollywood sensation Prudhvi Raj combine Telugu has entered into fourth leg of shooting. Director Manmohan said that there are several films highlighting cops but this one is a unique. According to the producer important sequences and some action scenes will be filmed in this schedule, featuring Sriram, Prudhvi, Kamilini and Brahmaji. From the first week of August the 4th schedule will be started at Hyderabad. Other cast includes Dandapani, Brahmaji, Vikram, CVL, Amith.
