Poo: poetic movie in the making

The flower blossoms, even amidst adverse conditions, as blossoming is its nature. 'Poo', directed by Sasi and produced by Moserbaer Entertainment, talks about two such persons, who blossom like flowers. Moserbaer Entertainment, known for producing quality movies with low budget, has joined hands with director Sasi's Nesaki Cinemas to produce 'Poo', starring the Srikanth in the lead. The movie is evolving as a gentle and poetic experience on screen. The story is based on a short story by renowned writer Thamil Chelvan. 'Poo' deals with a love story with a rural and semi urban background. Director Sasi is a director, who has proved his worth as a distinctive director, with films like 'Sollamaley', 'Roja Kootam', and 'Disyum'. All the three films admirably dealt with sensitive subjects. More importantly, all went on to become hit movies. New music director S.S Kumaran does the music, while Na Muthukumar pens the lyrics. Kumaran is a student of Adyar Film Institute. The recording of six songs is over. The songs are said to be the highlight of the film. Cinematography is done by debutant P.G. Muthiya who had the experience of working with Ravi K Chandran, Ravivarman, Rajarathnam, and Kadhir. Srikanth, the comeback man, pairs up with Parvathy, a new face to Tamil from Malayalam. She has rendered noteworthy performances in 'Notebook' and Flash fame. The whole unit is all in praise of Parvathy's natural way of acting. Srikanth is very excited about this project, which could put him back on the track. The film is being extensively shot in and around Rajapalayam district. It is expected to be released as a summer treat. Moserbaer deserves special appreciation for coming forward to make such movies, which could propel the standard of Tamil cinema to another level. Since the taste of the Tamil audiences is becoming healthier, we could expect that 'Poo' would be received by them with enthusiasm.

She was slated to act opposite Chithiram Pesuthadi fame Naren for a movie to be directed by S A Chandrasekhar. Pooja - Happy and high

Pooja, the up-and-coming actress in Kollywood, with some good hits under her belt is happy at the way that her next film Auto is shaping up. Pooja, looking very delicious and delightful, says, ' I play a different role in the movie. In Auto, my character is that of a young girl who lives in a slum and ekes out a livelihood by selling biriyani.' The movie features Arya in the lead role and is directed by a debutant Pushkar. Pooja is one of the hottest babes in the circuit with a figure that is the envy of many. 'But I play a de-glamorized role in the film and it is shaping up well.' After Auto Pooja has Pori. In that she is true to type. 'I play a bubbly young girl. Director Subramaniam Siva is a bundle of energy encouraging me in every frame'. Busy in Sinhala films too, Pooja says, 'An actress has to do any type of roles. Getting struck in a particular image is dangerous. I am playing different characters in my forthcoming movies,' she says On the stiff competition in the industry today, Pooja says, 'I am not worried about the race.'

Pooja - The right cut

Among the young crop of actresses, it is Pooja who has caught the eye with her smartness. The beautiful young girl is widely described as having the right figure among the actresses in Tamil now. She is tall, curvaceous and has the right looks. Such a beautiful figure deserves the right kind of dress. Pooja, who is well educated and knows the tastes of the modern-day youngsters, is not ready to take any chances with her designer. The smart girl, who knows more than a thing or two in the fashion industry (she was model coordinator before becoming an actress), designs her own outfits. By this way, Pooja ensures that she gets what she has in mind and also does not overexpose. The right cut, you can say.

Everything was on a roll for Pooja. Films like Thambi, Pattiyal put her in a top league. Having completed shooting for her forthcoming movies Auto opposite Arya and Jeeva starrer Pori, the actress has taken a month's break from shooting for her forthcoming projects in Tamil filmdom. Says Pooja, 'It was a conscious decision. I am constructing my own house in Mangalore. The work is almost over. Since I have to set things in order at Mangalore, I decided to take a month's break from shooting. I would be back to shoot soon'. Since this break is self-imposed, Pooja also hopes to refresh her and come back with renewed vigor.
