Controversial model Poonam Pandey, who promised to shed her clothes if India won the cricket World Cup but didn’t do so, has reportedly been offered a whopping Rs. 2 crore for the next season of “Big Boss” as her presence is expected to add spice and boost TRPs. “Poonam has been offered a signing amount of Rs. 2 crore for ‘Big Boss’ season five, but the model is considering whether to accept the offer or not,” a source closes to the model told IANS. “Apart from this handsome amount, there is a contract mentioning that an ex-cricketer (one of the contestants) during the show will ask Poonam to fulfill the promise which she made during the World Cup. Because of this clause Poonam is still thinking about the offer,” the source added. The 21-year-old caught the headlines after she said she would strip in the green room if India won the World Cup. India won, but for various reasons Poonam couldn’t fulfil her promise. The model has grabbed a few projects, includng Color’s adventure show “Khatron Ke Khiladi 4″, and her stay on the show had been non-controversial.
Poonam Pandey back in action
Poonam Pandey is back in action after spraining her back during a rigorous training schedule of belly dancing. Poonam was enthusiastic about the belly dancing classes she was taking to get into the eponymous character in the film "Helen". But too much enthusiasm got the better of her when she twisted her back. Eventually the shooting had to be cancelled. "We had set up a Rs.1 crore set at a Mumbai studio but we had to eventually dismantle it because Poonam was advised not to dance for a while. But now she is fine and we have planned another schedule this month," said producer Suresh Nakum. "The film is an expensive one and we did not want to harm the film or take any risk which would have disturbed the star actress. Now as Poonam is back, the shoot will continue through August and September," he said. The music-and-dance film is being written and directed by Ajit Rajpal, who had earlier also written Poonam-starer "Nasha". Rajpal feels "Helen" by name itself generates curiosity and entertainment, and said Poonam's career will be completely transformed after this movie. The film is being produced by Suresh Nakum, Vipin Medhekar and co-produced by Rakesh Bhosale under the banner of The World Networks.
Poonam Dhillon to join 'MSG The Warrior'
Veteran actress Poonam Dhillon will play a pivotal role in Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's film "MSG The Warrior", the Dera Sacha Sauda sect chief has revealed. Singh said in a statement: "'MSG The Warrior' is a Hollywood style movie directed by a NRI director from the US, Sukhwant Singh, who is also the scriptwriter of the film. The story belongs to him. A Hollywood actress, and renowned Bollywood actress Poonam Dhillon will play other key roles in the film." Singh is currently in the midst of shooting his third film "MSG Online Gurukul". Talking more about the film, he said: "Normally it has been seen that warriors fight for land, extension of their kingdom's boundary, wealth, but the subject chosen for this film is a true warrior who is seen fighting for the respect of women and how he earns respect and fame in the entire world for the same."
Poonam looking for a lift
Poonam Bajwa looks fresh and dainty like a dew-kissed flower. This Pune girl is slowly coming into her own in Telugu. The beauty, who arrived in Tollywood after being spotted in ads, is happy that she is now doing a film with Nagarjuna. Those who have acted with Nags usually rise to the top pretty quickly. She is the second heroine of the movie that Nags is doing for Kamkshi Films. Poonam was first seen in the movie Modati Cinema alongside Navdeep. She managed to make an impression right then. So much so she was immediately cast along with Navdeep for Sravanthi Ravi Kishore's Premante Inthe. Poonam feels the two movies will catapult her to stardom here.
Poonam on fire
Poonam may not had the copybook start to her career in Telugu films. Her first film here was Modati Cinema. The movie, though got noticed, did not exactly cover itself with glory at the box office. Then she had Premante Inthe, again with Navdeep. This was also a flop. So many thought this Pune girl was finished as a heroine. But certainly not. The spunky girl has managed to wrest movies left, right and centre. She is currently one of the heroines for Nagarjuna's film for Kamakshi Movies.
Poonam Bajwa debuts in Kollywood
She is a known face in Tollywood. Poonam has acted in lead roles in films like 'Boss', 'Veduka' and 'Modati Cinema' to name a few. But success has always eluded this budding talent. Maybe with her entry into Kollywood she can re-write her fate. All stars go through this phase at some point in their life. But the best thing about Poonam is that she has kept on trying.
