Actress Poorna has bagged a chance to sizzle with none other than Superstar Mahesh Babu in his forthcoming untitled Koratala Siva film. Known for her performance in Ravibabu's Avunu, Poorna has been roped in to do a special classical song in this family entertainer. Koratala Siva has considered many front line heroines, Poorna falls in the right place, finally, as the filmmaker was looking out for a classical dancer. “It's a peppy number set in rural backdrop. Director wanted someone who could perfectly carry off the traditional dance moves and Poorna is in as she is a trained Kathak dancer," informs an insider. This traditional classical song will be filmed in a special set being erected in the city. Poorna will shoot for the song next month. Shruti Haasan is the lead actress in this yet-untitled movie.
Poorna turns village belle in Ammay!
Actress Poorna will be next seen as a village belle in the upcoming horror entertainer Ammayi. The film also stars Varalakshmi and Vinay in the lead. Elaborating on her role, Poorna revealed that she will appear as Vinay's wife--a naughty village girl. The actress also said that she is getting lots of offers from horror genre after signing Ammayi. However, in reality, Poorna is actually terrified of spooky film.

In a live show, Sreenivas Reddy told that Youngsters have fallen in love with the Rani character played by Poorna and some of them even sent love proposals to the actress. He, however, makes it clear that Poorna is unlike Rani. While Rani loves flowers, Poorna loves planting flowers in the ears of people. Mr.Reddy reveals Poorna is foodie and she used to eat something even while walking into the sets. During Bheemili outdoor shoot, Poorna used to enquire with her cook (Bheemili Manga) what's going to be the Menu for the day. When the cook asked, 'Peethalu Cheyyana Amma', Poorna took her Co-Star Sreenivas Reddy into confidence to know what the dish is all about and if she could try it. The Comedian advised her to try 'Peethalu' saying its a kind of fish. Sreenivas Reddy said its because of Poorna they had some delicious food while shooting for 'Jayammu Nischayammu Raa' and gained few pounds.

She acted as Mohanlal's foster sister in 'Ali Bhai', the heroine's only friend in 'Flash' and the second heroine of 'College Kumaran'. She then had a number of small time project in Mollywood, as the heroine. But things didn't work out as expected and she was replaced from many movies like 'Chembada', after filming had actually started. Well, she then changed her name to Poorna and is now debuting in Tamil opposite Bharath, a young actor of Tamil Cinema. Poorna's first movie in Tamil 'Munniyandi Vilangiyal Moondramaandu', is releasing on July 4. A major highlight in her career is that even before the movie's release, she has earned appreciation from actor Vijay. He said in the audio release function that Poorna had a striking resemblance to Asin. This surely would boost her market value. The film is set against a family background in a semi-urban village and is directed by Thirumurugan of 'Emttan Magan' fame. Poorna will have to wait just this weekend to know whether she can follow the likes of Asin, Meera Jasmine, Bhavana and Nayantara in the quest to climb the ladder of mega stardom.

According to reports the actor was ill for quite some time and the end came at about 3:30 pm.
