More news →'E-Preethi' complete I schedule
The first NRI woman director of Kannada cinema Priya Bharathi alias Shilpa (residing at Washington DC) maiden film 'E-Preethi' has completed first schedule of shooting. The love in e-Mail and several talkie portions the director has captured in the first schedule of the shooting of 24 days. The team is all set to leave to United States of America for remaining portion of shooting. Story and screenplay is written by Priya Bharathi. Ace lyricist from 'Mungaru Male' Jayanth Kaikini has penned the songs and dialogues. Pradip Bekal, Narayan Hosmane, Mahimahesh and S.V.Narayanaswamy are the producers. Music Mint Suchitra Latha scores the music while R.V.Nageshwara Rao and Udaya Raja are cameramen for this film. Aravind is doing choreography while the assistant directors are Ravindra and Rajasri. Diganth, Tejaswini, Bharat, Nina Mahesh, Joe Simon, Padma Vasanthi, Malathi Sardeshpande, Ravindranath, Andrio, Livero and Shivarudrappa are in the cast.
Adithya Babu in 'Anthu Inthu Preethi Banthu'
The tall and handsome looking Aditya Babu armed with Electronics Engineering degree a Telugu speaking guy from Andhra Pradesh is testing his fortunes in Kannada film 'Anthu Inthu Preethi Banthu'(AIPB). Producing a Telugu film would cost Rs.6 crores while a Kannada film could be tried out in just Rs.3 crores is what director of this film Veera Shanker admits speaking to media on Monday evening. Director Veera Shanker has plans to make the same film in Telugu looking after the box office results of this Kannada film. The heart throb of Kannada cinema Ramya a friend of Aditya Babu since five years is playing the female lead in this romantic love story. 'I play the leader in the software company and Aditya works under me' disclosed Ramya addressing the media. I hail from a very conservative family and maintain a strong discipline in the working atmosphere. This kind role I have not played earlier said Ramya who is flying to Dubai on December 15th for personal work. Ramya has two more offers 'Mussanje Mathu' opposite Sudeep and a film for producer Rockline Venkatesh in which golden star Ganesh plays the lead. Explaining on the contents of the film ' Anthu Inthu Preethi Banthu' that is the song beginning in the film 'Milana' director reputes Veera Shanker who made 'Namma Basava' two years ago in Kannada said that this film has the software background. This is based on 'Anandhamanandhamayi' novel written by Bhasker in Telugu. The maximum portion of the shooting will be held in Bangalore and a few songs will be shot in abroad. The passion in young Aditya Babu has made Veera Shanker to take up this project. Making debut Aditya Babu is in the lead in his home banner debut film in Kannada 'AIPB'. He has taken training in Kishore Namit Kapoor School and feels fortunate to make debut in Kannada and work with top star Ramya. Mr Satyanarayana Rao grand father of Aditya Babu present at the media briefing said this film 'AIPB' will surely get the clean certificate. Gurukiran is scoring music for six songs while H.C.Venu is the cameraman of this film.
Nina makes debut in 'E-Preethi'
The attractive looking Nina Mahesh another NRI with two short plays to her credit ' 'In Waiting and Secret Leave' is making debut in Kannada feature film 'E-Preethi'. Nina Mahesh has taken Kannada classes specially to groom her for the role in this film. She is learning at least one Kannada word every day now. 'I am fond of Kannada language she disclosed at the media meet on the muhurut day (Wednesday 23rd April) of the film 'E Preethi' at Dakshinamuka Nandi Teertha temple in Malleswaram, Bangalore.' She plays the role of Neelu in the film. The role she is playing on silver screen is very close to her heart. Nina appears to be having right attitudes is a bachelor in psychology from Michigan University. Her portion of shooting is in USA for 'E Preethi'.
Preeti for you...With Love!
Preeti Jhangiani has a lot to look forward this season! While she is in a scorching form in her music video 'Sharaabi' with Altaf Raja, her stuck-in-the-cans 'Jaane Hoga Kya' where she has an important role to play is slated for release this 25th. But this is not all as one of her fresh films 'With Love...Tumhara' too is aiming for a release soon. Shot in quick time, this romantic film produced by Rakesh Bhatia and directed by Kamal D. Nathani stars Parvin Dabbas and Nakul Vaid as the men who vouch for her attention. The film was recently in news for all the shooting vows faced by Preeti in Rohtang Pass where she had to shoot a romantic dream song in the chilling weather with multiple costume changes!
Preeti-Pravin Bank on With Luv Tumhara
Preeti Jhangiani, Anupama Verma and Praveen Dabas. Now that doesn't make a smashing cast of a Bollywood film. But then the makers of 'With Luv Tumhara' are claiming that their film is different and the shooting in the picturesque of Manali is different from anything seen before. The film is slated for a release on November 17th. Preeti Jhangiani had a smashing start with 'Chui Mui Si Ladki Hai' video for Rajshri Music more than a decade ago. She consolidated her position with a debut in Aditya Chopra's 'Mohabbatein' opposite Jimmy Sheirgill. She is a decent actress but the skin show in a B grade non-starter 'Chahat' didn't do anything to give a positive vive to her image. Pravin Dabas on the other hand is riding high on the success of 'Khosla Ka Ghosla' where he essayed his role competently. And in spite of veterans like Anupam Kher and Boman Irani, he left a mark. It remains to be seen if 'With Luv Tumhara' takes the careers of Praveen and Preeti ahead or will it be a wasted effort'.
Preeti moves to something big
Pretty girl Preeti Amin has been associated with only small screen so far. She is known for her role in 'Chakravakam'. Now, time has come for her to move to the big screens. She is going to play the lead role opposite debutante Bishnu Adikari in a film titled 'Naalo... Tolisarigaa'. The film is all about a boy, who is brought up from a conservative family, falling in love with a girl. Having completed the first schedule, the second schedule is expected to start on April 15. Music composer Sashi Preetam, who turned director with 'Naa Pranam Kante Ekkuva', is now turning producer with the film and Bhanu Vijay is making debut as a director.
