The Madhavan ' Sada ' Shamita Shetty starrer 'Naan Aval Adhu' is slated to have it's music album launch on the 16th of September at Hotel Ambassador Pallava in Chennai. Director P.Vasu would be the guest of honor. A major highlight of the album is that it has four music directors in the form of G. V. Prakash, R. P. Patnaik, Dharan and Prasanna Sekhar. The film is directed by Kona Venkat and is the first production venture of Storm Pictures. The film is being made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu and is slated for a bilingual release. This is the third film that Madhavan and Sada are teaming up for. The other two films are 'Ethiri' and 'Priyasakhi'. Madhavan who has 'Guru En Aalu' gearing up for release would ideally like to back it up with 'Naan Aval Adhu' in order to gain firm footing in the Tamil film industry. It is not clear if Madhavan would be part of the audio launch as he has filed a complaint against the producer of the film for not paying him his remuneration balance of 75 lakhs. However, the producers of the film admit to a legal tussle and have stated that the remuneration for Madhavan is 60 lakhs (plus a percentage on the profit). Madhavan however has been invited for the audio launch function.

Craze for overseas shooting rises
Taking a cue from Bollywood, the producers and directors in Tamil cinema have begun shooting abroad. Nenjil featuring Navdeep and Aparna was shot entirely abroad (London). Major portions of director Jeeva's Unnale Unnale were shot in Melbourne and London. After Priyasakhi, director K S Adhiyaman is busy shooting his next Thoondil featuring Shaam and Kuthu Ramya in London and the crew would be moving to Malaysia shortly. A major portion of Kamal Haasan's forthcoming Dasavatharam would be shot in USA. The likes of Karan Johar and Yash Chopra in Bollywood have shot entire films in foreign locations. Says director Vikraman, 'I felt comfortable shooting abroad for Chennai Kadhal. The cumbersome procedures involved in obtaining permission from the authorities in Tamil Nadu to shoot films disappoint us. It is more comfortable to shoot abroad.' Further, the NRI market is also proving to be very lucrative for Indian films and the producers want to cash in on that too.
Hope springs eternal for Shaam
Though his Manadodu Mazhaikalam has managed just an average outing, Shaam is optimistic of the fortunes of his next venture Thoondle. 'It is a bubbly romantic film with good mix of sentiments', says Shaam. Thoondle features Shaam and Kuthu fame Ramya in the lead roles. Director Adhiyaman, whose last release Priyasakhi did not do well at the box office is confident of bouncing back with Thoondle. The director had commenced shooting of the movie in London and few scenes involving Shaam and Ramya were shot there. The shooting for the movie is progressing at a rapid pace. On his part, Adhiyaman sounds optimistic that the movie would work-out well with masses.
