More news →'Three' to be a psychological thriller
Re-recording is in progress for 'Three' directed by Sekhar Suri, presented by P Kanakalakshmi and produced by Phaniraj and GS Babu on the banner of Raj (India) Entertainments with Rishi, Rajiv Kanakala, Shantichandra and Urvasi Sarma in the lead. Director Sekhar Suri says, 'As everyone is predicting 'Three' is not a murder mystery nor a horror film. I am bringing out a film with two real life incidents. It is just a psychological thriller.' Producers say, 'We are bringing out the film with a huge budget on the lines of a Hollywood movie. We are confident that the Telugu audiences would taste a new kind of film through our film. We are making efforts to release the film in July.'
Exploring the human psyche
Priyadarshini Ram has set much store by Toss that he feels that it would be another blockbuster. His second directorial venture stars Raja, Upendra, Kamna Jethmalani and Priyamani in the leads. His first movie was Manodu, which was critically acclaimed. That success has spurred him to attempt something on a bigger canvas. Here he tries to get into the mind of two diverse characters. 'It is a toss up between the two,' he says in a bid to explain the slightly unconventional title. Bomma Borusa ..., the film's tagline explains the chancy nature of life itself and the two shades are the faces of the same coin. It is this ability to see philosophical explorations in everyday happenings that make Ram special. Upendra is the one with negative shade while Raja is the ramrod straight individual.
Psycho killer to invade Kollywood
The killing of security guards in Chennai reportedly by a psycho recently is now being made into film. 'Agra' fame Chithrai Selvan is to direct the film which is inspired by the recent serial killings in Vadapalani. The film is to be produced by Rangeela Enterprises. According to Chithirai Selvan, 'Security guards are killed one after another. A cop investigates and then faces severe problems from various quarters. Does he manage to punish the killer forms the crux of the story'. 'The movie is a reflection of events that is happening in real life', he asserts. Dashi scores the music while Super Subbarayan handles the stunt sequences.
Is Trisha a psychologist?
Yes, we are speaking about actress Trisha Krishnan. The diva, who is busy shooting for back to back films in Tollywood and Kollywood is said to be playing the role of a Psychologist in one of her films. According to sources, Trisha is playing central role in one of her films titled Bhogi, where she will be treating people with psychological disorders. Pandiyan is directing Bhogi, simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil languages. Memu marks Trisha's first ever female centric film. Touted to be a fun filled entertainer. Bhogi is based on the journey of three friends played Trisha, Poonam Bajwa and Oviya. Trisha is juggling between Hyderabad and Chennai in order to shoot for her Telugu and Tamil films including Kamal Haasan's Thoongaavanam or Cheekati Raajyam.
Saif's next to be a psycho-comic drama
Known for making women-centric movies like 'Mardaani', 'Parineeta' and 'Laaga Chunari Mein Daag', filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar is going slightly off-beat with his upcoming project. Based on the popular play titled, 'Shimla Coffee House' directed by veteran film, television and theatre personality Rakesh Bedi, Sarkar has approached Saif Ali Khan for the film . As per sources, the two (Pradeep Sarkar and Rakesh bedi) have met each other to discuss the script, but nothing is known about the outcome yet. Saif Ali Khan to be lead in Anushka Sharma's next production venture What comes across to be a psycho-comic drama, the story revolves around a small cafe located at the foothills of Shimla, that is managed by a waiter named Satish Kashyap. A popular author often visits the cafe to pen down his series of short stories. It is during one such visit that a fan picks up certain issues with one of his stories, and the entire disagreement and the fight that drags the waiter into the scene, is what forms the crux of the story.
Santhanam turns psychiatrist
Santhanam, Sethu and Vishaka Singh who entertained the audiences with Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaya film will yet again be seen together in another laughter riot. The film has been titled as Vaaliba Raja and Sai Gokul Ramnath, a former associate of KV Anand is wielding the megaphone for this comic caper. Santhanam will be seen as psychiatrist in the movie and Sethu will be seen in a designer role. Radhan is the music director of the movie. Vaaliba Raja shooting schedules have commenced in June and the movie will wrap up by the end of August. Stick to this space for more updates of the movie.
