First Look - RAAZ - THE MYSTERY CONTINUES

While there have been a gamut of other scary movies made in Bollywood, Raaz -The Mystery Continues (RTMC) sure seems like it will stand out as something that hasn't been done ever before. The movie sports an all-new logo in a venomous neon green that has been designed to distinguish it as an out-and-out horror film. The performances by all actors as well as the director's (Mohit Suri) skill have already started creating quite a buzz by those who have seen it. Now ready to be opened up to the audiences in full throttle, the movie will start sending the chills down spines with its first theatrical trailer on October 29th with FASHION. Audiences can well consider horror to be the new theme for this season! RTMC deals with issues of the 'evil within' the human psyche and how it manifests itself. It is based on the myths and superstitions that are still widely existent in the contemporary Indian society. The film attempts to challenge one's beliefs about paranormal phenomena. It is about anticipation of fear and the fright residing within ones' self. Produced by Vishesh Films, after their super-successful Raaz in 2002, the next in the series is Raaz -The Mystery Continues (RTMC) which is a supernatural thriller starring Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut and Adhyayan Suman. It is directed by Mohit Suri. This is Mohit's fifth film with the Bhatt Brothers.

'RAAZ ' THE MYSTERY CONTINUES' is being directed by Mohit Suri and stars Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut and Adhyayan Suman. 'It is definitely thrilling to be ready to present Vishesh Films' next film to the world,' says Mukesh Bhatt, 'Raaz ' The Mystery Continues has been much talked about and long awaited by everyone, so here it is! Get ready to be spooked!' Though only very few people are aware of the exact story of 'RAAZ- THE MYSTERY CONTINUES' ' it is believed to be a supernatural thriller dealing with the myths and superstitions that are still widely existent in the contemporary Indian society. The film will tend to challenge one's beliefs about paranormal phenomena. The blockbuster music of Vishesh Films' Jannat ' which is still ruling the charts ' was released on SONY BMG. 'RAAZ ' THE MYSTERY CONTINUES' takes this association a step forward with SONY BMG. Contrary to popular belief, 'RAAZ ' THE MYSTERY CONTINUES' is not a sequel to the musical blockbuster Raaz ' which is one of the biggest musical blockbusters of all time and the only blockbuster musical thriller of this decade!! It is an industry claim that Vishesh Films is amongst the very few that can create and carry off a film in the thriller genre, on par with stylized film making. So 'RAAZ ' THE MYSTERY CONTINUES' has many people awaiting a watch! According to insiders, the entire shoot for 'RAAZ ' THE MYSTERY CONTINUES' is complete. Post-production, which involves exceptional special effects is now in the process. Another scoop from insiders is that the music of 'RAAZ ' THE MYSTERY CONTINUES' is a notch above Jannat!! From PHOONK to RAAZ - The most expensive horror movie ever made

The bumper opening of Phoonk has taken everyone by surprise! 2008 is a special year for horror as a genre, as not only have the people started lapping up horror movies, but it is one of the few years where many talented directors are exploring the genre. Perhaps the most anticipated movie of this genre ' Raaz ' The Mystery Continues ' will highlight the potential of this genre to the hilt. What differentiates Raaz ' The Mystery Continues from other horror flicks is the blockbuster music which is the trademark of the Bhatts. It's quite difficult to have moments which run a chill down your spine and the music that warms up your heart in the same movie. But with the creative genius of Vishesh Films and marketing skills of SONY BMG, Raaz- The Mystery Continues is all set to capture the Indian audiences with the first ever Musical Thriller of this year. If the response to Phoonk is anything to go by, it shows that cine-goers want quality entertainment ' the genre of the movie is quite incidental. In terms of entertainment, they will lap up a quality horror flick as much as a comic caper or an adrenaline pumping action movie ' as long as it entertains and gives them what they came for. Going back in time, there was a phase in the 60s and the 70s when some outstanding horror/thriller movies like Madhumati, Mahal and Woh Kaun Thi enthralled the audiences to become the biggest hits of their times, and classics forever. Incidentally, they seamlessly integrated a strong storyline and lots of spine-chilling moments with some chartbusting music. The 80s and the 90s ' with bad masks and make-up, worse performances and sleaze creeping into them - saw a phase of which relegated horror as a genre to a 'B-grade' genre. Raaz, in 2002, was perhaps the first movie which brought back the magic of the 60's and the 70's horror classics ' making it till date the only Horror/ Thriller Musical Blockbuster of the Decade. Incidentally, the only movie which will break this record in the near future will be the 2nd in series ' Raaz ' The Mystery Continues. Raaz 'The Mystery Continues is also touted as 'the most expensive horror movie ever made'. The creative genius of the Bhatts, some blockbuster music, the marketing skills of SONY BMG and now, the audiences giving a thumbs up to horror as genre ' these are reasons making Raaz ' The Mystery Continues hotter by the day in the trade circuits. Raaz 'The Mystery Continues is a supernatural thriller dealing with the myths and superstitions that are still widely existent in the contemporary Indian society. The film will tend to challenge one's beliefs about the supernatural phenomenon. The film has is being slated as the biggest project ever by the Vishesh Films who have joined hands with SONY BMG. SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT is the number one music company in the world and a global recorded music joint venture with a roster of current artists that includes a broad array of local artists and international superstars, as well as a vast catalog that comprises some of the most important recordings in history. It is the home to over 10,000 artists ranging from Elvis to Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez. In India SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT is the home to Film and Non-Film Superstars.

Raaz 2 Scariest flick on the make

"If at all I hadn't watched Grudge-2, idea of brimming up with Raaz-2 wouldn't have stricken me" says Mohit Suri. With his unique panache, he churned out finest piece of works Awarappan, Woh Lamhe, Kalyug and Zeher. Hopping from those emotional themes, we have this auteur gearing up with Raaz-2. Well, Mohit Suri utters it's not a sequel to Bhatt's Raaz that swayed chilling everyone's spines before 6 years. Adding on more, he continues that unlike most of the clich©d horrors where ghost seeks vengeance of mortal entity, Raaz-2 has something more to offer than it. The flick has Imran Hasmi, Kangana Ranaut and Shekar Suman's son Adhyayan Suman in lead. Fine! Not just Mohit, but the entire crewmembers sing appraisals of Adhyayan's top-notched performance. According to the sources, Imran Hasmi plays the role of a painter while Kangana is a modern Indian woman and Adhyayan takes on the role of a documentary filmmaker and an atheist. These characterizations may let you feel there isn't anything so peculiar, but again we have Mohit saying it would be off a great surprise while seen on the screen.
