You have heard Mithoon and Atif Aslam collaborating for superhit 'Tere Bin' in 'Bas Ek Pal'. Now hear one more song that has a similar title 'Tere Bin' in the forthcoming film 'Delhii Heights'. A romantic track based on some excellent melody, the song is composed, written and sung by Rabbi Shergill who had made quite a splash with his hit number 'Bulla Ki Jaana' in his namesake album 'Rabbi'. The album also comprised of the song 'Tere Bin' that has now been revived for 'Delhii Heights'. A special music video of the song has been created which is made of an array of scenes and shots from the film with Rabbi making an appearance in front of the camera. Based in Delhi, the film stars Jimmy Shergill, Neha Dhupia, Rohit Roy, Simone Singh, Om Puri and Kamini Khanna in principal roles and is directed by Anand Kumar. The film is slated for a March 02 release.
Ramba celebrates her birthday today
The girl who created waves among the adolescents of South India is celebrating her birthday today. Introduced in the film 'Ullathai Allithaa' by director Sundar C. to the Tamil film world, she became a star overnight playing a youthful girl in love. It was a slapstick comedy that also featured Karthik, Goundamani and Manivannan. She maintained the dream girl status for well over a decade often playing a love sick and demure girl. Ramba hails from Vijayawada and was first introduced in a Telugu film named Aa Okkati Adakku in 1993. She stormed into the Tamil, Malayalm and Hindi film industries as well and was quick to be identified as the girl-next-door. She has an impressive list of co-stars in the form of Chiranjeevi, Rajnikanth, Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan, Sunil Shetty and Govinda. She also worked with Kamal Haasan in a comedy flick. Ramba turned producer briefly with the film Three Roses in Tamil starring Jyothika, Laila and herself. The film was inspired by the hollywood flick Charlies Angels. Her performance in the 2007 film in Malayalam titled Paayum Puli was greatly appreciated and won her rave reviews. Ramba replaces Simran
The blockbuster Tamil movie Pithamagan is being remade in Kannada starring Upendra in Vikram's role. Pithamagan directed by Bala went on to become a huge hit and even fetched Vikram the national award for the best actor. In the Kannada remake version Sangavi is playing the role which Sangeetha featured in Tamil. However for an item song in which Simran appears herself, the director has opted for Ramba. Ramba, a once popular heroine in Tamil and Kannada filmdom, has danced for a song shot in remote villages in Karnataka.
Ramba hospitalized
Actress Ramba was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai on Monday following food poisoning. She was given immediate medical aid and her condition is said to be stable. A popular actress Ramba is currently hosting a dance show called 'Maanada Mayilada' for a private satellite channel. The whole crew of the show was by her side at the hospital. Ramba stormed Tamil Cinema with 'Uzhavan' opposite Prabhu. She followed it up with films like 'Ullathai Alli Tha', 'Arunachalam', 'Kadhala Kadhala' among others. She produced and enacted a major role in 'Three Roses'. Ramba is also a very popular actress in Tollywood. Ever since she was hospitalized rumors were abuzz that she had attempted suicide. However sources close to the actress confirmed that it was due to food poisoning.
Ramba gears up to thrill
Actress Ramba will be playing the lead role in a Telugu suspense thriller titled 'Prathi Kshanam'. Produced by Parijaya Creations, the movie is directed by a Chennai Film institute student Vyas. Says Ramba, ' for the first time I am acting in a suspense thriller. True to the title, the audience will feel the tension every second.' 'Thrillers are generally associated with violence or bloodshed. But, I don't like these things. So, it is a cool thriller and all sections of the audience, including children are sure to enjoy it'.
