King Nagarjuna up coming movie ‘Ragada’ press meet held on Monday at Annapurna studio. Producer has decided to release the film in the month of December. Incidentally, December happens to be a lucky month for ‘Nagarjuna’ as he scored some of the biggest blockbusters of his career in that month. And the film has two beauty queens ‘Anushka’ and ‘Priyamani’ are playing female leads. Speaking to media Nagarjuna Said:“The title ‘Ragada’ reminded me of my childhood days when I used to buy ragada on roadside and eat. But later I learnt that there is a word in Telugu also when the director told me that the title of this film will be ‘Ragada’. ‘Ragada’ means ‘godava’. When I tweeted on my twitter account about this title, I got very good response for it. This year’s two of my films’ titles ‘Gaganam’ and ‘Ragada’ were taken two Telugu letters each from the song ‘Jagada jagada jagadam’ from ‘Geetanjali’. According to producer’s taste this film is being made as a complete entertainer like ‘Allari Alludu’ and ‘Hello Brother’. The posters of this film indicate the film’s success. After watching ‘Bindaas’, we decided to work with Veera Potla for this storyline. He always thinks of films, such is his passion for films. The industry will definitely recognize the talent. Thaman has scored very good music for this film and I’m very confident about its success too. We are going to shoot some part of the film in Jordan, which has been announced as a 8th wonder of the world. We learnt that there are ornaments relating to 40 years in an ancient city called Petra. It’s also learnt that water coming out from a fountain is a delight to ear and the eye. I’m very excited to go there. December being my lucky month, we are releasing this film during December only. The entire movie is being made on entertainment and action backdrop. I’m playing a man who runs market yard in Kadapa and speaks Rayalaseema slang. Director had brilliantly planned the introduction fight. We are yet to shoot the climax fight.” Veeru Potla confined that:“People can easily guess the film’s genre by its title. This film is being crafted with elements required for people from all walks of life. Every character in this film has its own value.” D Siva Prasad Reddy producer of the movie told:“This movie is a complete entertainer with mass and class elements. We planned to shoot two songs in Jordan. The audio launching function will be held in November. The movie release date is planned as December 17th. The left over talkie part will be completed in New Zealand in 1st week of November. This movie is certainly a different one for Nagarjuna.” “I’m very confident of this film’s success. The director has already proved his mettle through ‘Bindaas’. ‘Ragada’ is going to release during winter and give enough heat to the audience. It’s going to be a feast to the audience for sure”, says Darmavarapu. This film produced by D. ShivaPrasad Reddy under the banner of Sri Kamakshi Enterprises, and directed by Veeru potla, SS Thaman scoring the music.
‘Ragada’, an action cum comedy entertainer!
Nagarjuna’s upcoming film, ‘Ragada’ is in the final leg of shooting. The movie is being touted as a mass entertainer with ample action and comedy in the backdrop of Rayalaseema. The audio of the film is expected to reach the stores in the first week of December while the movie too is planned to hit the theaters in the same month since Nag has a high success rate in the month of December. Ragada is being directed by Veeru Potla of Bindaas fame and is being produced by D Sivaprasad Reddy under the banner Kamakshi Kala Movies. Thaman scored the music for the film. Nagarjuna will be seen romancing Anushka and Priyamani in the film while he tapped his leg for a special song with Charmi.
Ragada releasing on 24th December
Nagarjuna starrer Ragada which is slated for release on 23rd December is now postponed by a day. Ragada is releasing worldwide on 24th December. The first copy of the film is ready and the producer will submit the first copy to Censor Board today. Nagarjuna says that he is quite confident on the film’s success. He mentioned that his role in Ragada is interesting with lot of punch dialogues and he had not played such kind of roles in the last five years. Anushka and Priyamani are playing the leading ladies opposite Nag. Directed by Veeru Potla and produced by D Siva Prasad Reddy under Sri Kamakshi Enterprises, the music scored by Thaman has been ruling the charts since the audio released day.
Ragada is a known plot with new presentation
Nagarjuna starrer ‘Ragada’ is gearing up for its release on 24th, December. Meanwhile, the unit of Ragada is busy in promoting the film to a full extent. It is definitely not a thought-provoking film, but makes you smile and enjoy while watching,” says Nagarjuna.
Ragada receives ‘A’, Platinum Disc Function on 23rd Dec
