Sathyaraj to star in Rathakanneer remake
Sathyaraj is a great fan of M R Radha. Sathyaraj has used some of the techniques of M R Radha on screen and like him, is an atheist off screen. So it is no surprise that Sathyaraj wants to do the remake of Rathakanneer, a movie that has given abiding name and fame to M R Radha. The movie about a decadent Anglophile, who derides everything India and goes on a hedonistic binge, was a cult hit as a drama and then as a film. It was M R Radha's calling card and the 'Adiye Kantha' dialogue is stuff of the local legend. It will be interesting to see Sathyaraj mouth those celebrated lines. Sathyaraj's favourite director, Sakthi Chidambaram may direct this remake. Sathyaraj also wants to remake his own hit Poovizhi Vasalile.

Raktha Charitra is disparate
RGV's production house earlier made a supernatural thriller 'Raksha' in Telugu and is now gearing up to make their next venture 'Raktha Charitra'. Ram Gopal Varma has scouted for new talents and has ended up with the youngsters Dharma and Raksha. The movie is to be based on the factionism that took place in the Anantapur District. But, the maker strongly denies that the movie in no way supports such illegal factions. On a meet, RGV said, "The film will neither have a hero nor a heroine. It is narrated right up the point without any deviations including songs. It's about the intra-pyschic conflict of a person sucked into factional feuds. When I made a visit to the bomb sites, I was surprised to find hospitality from those people from the badlands." Ramu continues that Dharma and Raksha will be making the movie that delves into the minds of the bombers who are trapped in unforeseen circumstances and gets struck to a point of no return. Known for making subjects that are woven around the underworld dons or controversies, the director who captivated the audience with 'Shiva' is now back in Telugu with 'Raktha Charitra' to portray the obscene reality in his own distinct style of narration.
