The erstwhile small screen 'Rama' Arun Govil has announced that he has given up finally acting and turned to spiritualism. Arun performed the lead of God Rama in Ramanand Sagar's small screen epic of eighties 'Ramayan' and entered into politics and represented BJP in the lands supreme law making body when the party sweeping north India. Partnering with his younger brother of the devotional mega hit, Sunil Lahiri he has established a Television production company. He also disclosed that their first venture Happy Home which deals with senior citizens earning not only revenue but also tops in the TRP ratings after aired in nations biggest TV network Doordarshan. Now it seems that spiritualism has taken the actor and he devotes his time under the guidance of his guru Brahmarishi Srikumar Swami. The actor is against re-making of the epic classics is a waste of energy and money since it won't have any soul. Though many silver screen personalities shining in politics viz, Jayapradha, Jayabachan, Jayalalitha, Dharmendra and cricket stars like Sidhu , it is conspicuous that why small screen actors including Shruti Irani did not shine that much?
Rama Naidu Film Institute launching in October
The famous Telugu film producer Dr D Rama Naidu has contributions that are immeasurable and another endeavor is on the way to let Telugu film world to flourish in future. D Suresh Babu elder son of the leading producer has announced that the infrastructure of Suresh Productions studios would be dedicated to launch a film institute in his father's name from this October. The organization will be started during the eve of Dussera, and Official launch will be in the month of October with a web-site to provide information. The first phase will consist with Direction and Screen Writing. It is proposed to admit up to 25 students during the first year. Suresh added it is a long cherished dream unfulfilled till now and taken shape to form an institute. He has realized a strong team of teachers and also high-end technicians will be available from time to time, as the institute is situated with in the premises of Suresh Productions studios. In other words the students will get the real time experience staying at the studio premises.
Rama Naidu generous towards flood victims
Producer D Rama Naidu met with the CM of AP Dr Rajashekar Reddy invited him for the inauguration of the Film institute constituted in his name at Vishakhapatnam. During the meeting he handed over a cheque for Rs 10 lakhs towards CM's Public Relief Fund to extend help victims of recent flood havoc. Dr Rama naidu has produced more than one hundred films in various languages.
Rama Narayanan and the animals
Old habits die hard. Director Rama Narayanan, who started his career with revolutionary films, then switched over to make films involving animals. Soon he mastered the art and most of his films featuring animals became hit movies. He also went to the neighbouring states and made many producers happy by giving many hit films in the same genre. Rama Narayanan's passion towards animal related movies is still alive and his current ventures as a distributor prove this point. The director cum producer, who is the president of Producers' Council, is now distributing the dubbed versions of English movies. You wouldn't be surprised if you look at the film he has chosen to distribute now. It is a movie revolving around an animal! D-War, a fantasy movie featuring a bizarre animal with a dragon's face and a snake's body, will hit the halls by the end if this month. The movie with amazing graphics work will enthrall the Tamil audience with Tamil dubbing with the title 'Rudra Nagam'. There is little surprise in Rama Narayanan, who is fond of animal movies, releasing the film in Tamil.
Rama Rama Krishna Krishna audio released
Ram, Priya Anand, Bindu Madhavi starrer ‘Rama Rama Krishna Krishna’ audio was launched grandly yesterday at Durgam Cheruvu in Hyderabad. NTR, Prabhas, Dil Raju, Keeravani, SS Rajamouli, Bellamkonda Suresh, D Suresh Babu, Sri Vasu, Vamsi Paidipally, Meher Ramesh, Sravanthi Ravi Kishore, Ram, Bindu Madhavi, Priya Anand graced at the event. NTR unveiled the audio album while Prabhas received the first copy. “We started working for the script from 2 years ago when Sri Vasu narrated this story. The film has required elements like love, action and entertainment. I’m very happy to note that Keeravani’s 200th film is under our banner,” said Dil Raju. “I give my suggestions to the directors based on the working experience that I have. Rajamouli used to comment that my music is very slow. But in this film the tunes are at par with Ram’s energy”, said Keeravani. NTR said, “I like Ram because he has a very good energy. Out of 200 films that Keeravani composed, my films are 3 which include 18 songs. I wish he will compose tunes for 200 films more.” Prabhas said, “Keeravani composed best music in ‘Chatrapathi’ which is best in my career. I was really surprised to see Ram’s energy in ‘Devadasu’.”
After Rama it is Krishna
Ramadasu is making waves. Hopefully, Krishna, too will. Sri Krishna 2006, to be precise. It is the title of the new movie made by D Rama Naidu with Srikanth, Venu and Gowri Munjal in the leads. Well-known writer Vijayendra Prasad is directing this movie. M M Srilekha scores the music. Rama Naidu is producing the movie under Suresh Productions banner.
