Jeeva in 'Rameswaram'

Shooting is on at full swing for ITA film's 'Rameswaram' is directed by Selvam. Starring Jeeva and Bhavana, the movie is about the tale of a Lankan refugee who falls in love with an Indian girl. The director said,' It was a love story with a difference. Jeeva has acquired a tan, especially for the film. The story is set in Rameswaram, hence the title. It is about a young Sri Lankan refugee in the Mandapam camp. The daughter of a landlord in the area is in love with him. Initially, he is hesitant to reciprocate her love, but later on develops an interest in her. The various incidents that bring them together will make the audience sit through the film.' One of the major high lights of the film, the director said, 'South African singer Shaliqb Khan who lives in France has sung a song for the film tuned by music director Niru,' he said.

'Rameshwaram' audio launch- with difference!

The directorial venture of S.Selvam is 'Rameshwaram' -'32 miles from Yalpaanam' is the tag line of the title. The movie features Jeeva and Bhavana in the lead, growth of this film is progressing with full speed under S.N.Raja's production. The audio for the film was launched on Sunday but in a different manner. A famous music channel telecasted the audio release in their studio where Jeeva, Director Selvam and Music Director Niru, Na Muthukumar, K.S.Ravikumar and Kanja Karuppu among others. Music is composed by Niru and South African singer Shaliqb Khan has sung a song. They generally spoke to the callers on the phone who asked questions about the film and they themselves shared their experience while shooting for the film. It was a lively coverage. The first copy was received by actor cum director S.J.Suryah, who was in new get up (long hair) especially for one of his new film. The story is unique and talks about the love that blossom between a Tamil from Srilanka and a local Tamil girl. This movie is Jeeva's next after 'Kattradhu Thamizh'. For Bhavana, 'Rameshwaram' follows the successful 'Arya'. The film will hit the screens by next month.

Rameshwaram hits screens on Nov 30

The wait is finally over for Jeeva's Rameshwaram. The movie, directed by debutant Selvam, starring Jeeva and Bhavana, will hit the screens on 30 November. The movie set on the shores of the coastal town of Rameshwaram, features Jeeva in the role of a Lankan refugee who falls in love with Bhavana, a local girl. Niru has scored music for the movie. Expectations are high on the movie, as the movie promises to have a strong storyline. Moreover, Jeeva's evolution as a performer too has triggered expectations. He has proved his acting credentials with films including Ram, E, Dishyum and Kattradhu Thamizh. He teams up with Bhavana for the first time and the stills show that the chemistry between them has been worked out well. Let's wish the newly-wed Jeeva taste yet another success with Rameshwaram.

From Rameshwaram to Cambodia

Jeeva starrer Rameshwaram is fast nearing its completion. Starring Bhavana opposite Jeeva, the movie is directed by Selvam. A major portion of the movie was shot in Rameshwaram, quite appropriate to the title. A few sequences were shot in and around the shores of Pondicherry. The latest buzz doing rounds is that the director has sought permission to shoot important scenes involving Jeeva and Bhavana at a historical Buddha temple in Cambodia. According to Selvam, 'Rameshwaram is a tale of a Lankan refugee. He comes across a Tamil woman in Rameshwaram and romance develops. How he overcomes the problems forms the crux'. Selvam was quick to deny rumors that the movie has controversial scenes involving the ethnic issue Jeeva heaps laurels on Selvam for conceiving a storyline quite different from the run-of-the-mill-stuffs. 'It has enough scope for me to prove my acting credentials. I am happy working in Rameshwaram', he says.
