The first copy of 'Ramudu Manchi Baludu' directed by Praneeth and produced by Bandaru Subbalakshmi on the banner of Upendra Movies with Rangababu and Preeti Varma in the lead was ready. Director says, 'We chose a point in a story that dates back to some 1400 years ago and remoulded it to suit the present generation.' Producer says, 'We choreographed two songs on Indo-China border, which were so far not touched by any Telugu film. Suman is playing the role of a zamindar, while Abhinayasri's item song would be a highlight.' Brahmanandam, Chalapati Rao, Surya, Madhumati, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, Chatla Sriramulu, Pilla Prasad, Rajesh, Visweswara Rao, Potti Rambabu, Duvvsi Mohan, Sameer and others are in the cast. Camer is by SD John, editing is by Nandamuri Hari, choreography is by Venu-Pal, action is by Ganesh, music is by Ranjith Ren, story, dialogues, screenplay and direction are by Praneeth.
Mega Star at Andala Ramudu 100-days function
'Andala Ramudu' presented by RB Choudary and produced by NV Prasad and Paras Jain under the banner Mega Super Good Films, with Sunil getting a promotion as hero and with Arthi Agarwal playing the female lead, had created a record by collecting Rs 15 crores. It remained a star film as far as low-budget films are concerned. This film recently completed 100 days. It is reliably learnt that the producers are planning to hold the 100-days function on a grand scale on December 13. It is also learnt that Mega Star Chiranjeevi will be the chief guest at the function. Sunil was a fan of Chiranjeevi right from his childhood and he entered the film industry with his inspiration. Sunil graduated from the level of a comedian and now he is a hero. Hence it is good news that Chiranjeevi has agreed to attend the function.
Rayudu’s impressive first week collections
Vishal’s Rayudu opened to some decent collections from all over the B and C centres in AP and Telangana. Latest update reveals that the film has now collected a total share of 5 crores in both the Telugu states. The makers are quite happy with this result and revealed that the film reached their target audience big time. They also added that the film is still running in close to 200 theatres all over and is still attracting good audience. Directed by Muttaih, Rayudu had Sri Divya as the female lead.
Pawan likely to go with Katama Rayudu
'Katama Rayuda Kadiri Narasimhuda' is the lyrics of a bit song that was actually sung by Powerstar himself for the film Attarintiki Daredi. Here comes a snippet of this bit now. Actually Pawan Kalyan's next is being directed by Dolly (Kishore) and the film was earlier rumoured to be titled as Kadapa King. Loosely based on Tamil flick Veeram, this film deals with story of five brothers in a village. Latest buzz has that the film is likely to be named as "Katama Rayudu" as that will sync well with fans and sounds like a super heroic title. Featuring Shruti Haasan as heroine, this film is on floors already though hero and heroine are yet to join the shoot. Anup Rubens is composing music for his Sharat Marar production.
Vishal confident of Rayudu’s success
After the memorable success of his latest Tamil outing Marudhu, actor Vishal is all set to release the film in Telugu as Rayudu, which will hit the screens May 27. The film, a rural action drama, has been directed by Muttaiah and it stars Telugu girl Sri Divya as Vishal’s love interest. Speaking to a popular media house as part of the film promotions, Vishal exuded confidence on Rayudu’s success. The actor said that he wants to erase Pandem Kodi from the minds his Telugu fans and replace it with the success of Rayudu. Vishal will soon commence shooting for the Tamil remake of NTR’s Temper.
Tendulkar, Rayudu spark in Mumbai’s win
Sachin Tendulkar and Ambati Rayudu stroked half centuries in Mumbai Indians’ 23-run victory over Kings XI Punjab in their Indian Premier League match at the Wankhede Stadium here Monday. After Mumbai were sent in, Tendulkar (51) and Rayudu (51) mustered 95 runs for the second wicket to boost Mumbai Indians’ total to 159/5. The hosts then unfolded a disciplined bowling attack and sharp fielding to restrict Kings XI Punjab to 136/8. Mumbai Indians now top the table with six wins from their eight matches while Kings XI Punjab are at the eight place with with three wins from seven matches. For Punjab, Shaun Marsh stood tall amist the ruins with a gritty 61 off 47 balls. Punjab were off to a terrible start, losing skipper Adam Gilchrist for a duck in the very first over. The former Australia wicketkeeper-batsman was trapped leg before by Harbhajan Singh (2-25), who opened the attack. Marsh and Paul Valthaty (33 off 38) then set down to build the innings and put on a crucial 72-run stand for the second wicket before Andrew Symonds struck. In-form Valthay was caught by Kieron Pollard while attempting to send Symonds for a straighter boundary. His wicket proved to be the turning point and triggered a middle-order collapse. Marsh waged a lone battle before Lasith Malinga (2-19), who is in red-hot form, got him caught at mid-wicket by Tendulkar. Munaf Patel was also impressive with his figures of 2-18. It was not a perfect start for Mumbai as well as the hosts lost opener Davy Jacobs early in the third over before Tendulkar and Rayudu resurrected their innings. Tendulkar hit a six and three boundaries in his 45-ball innings while Rayudu stroked a six and eight fours in his aggressive 37-ball knock. Kieron Pollard (20) and Rohit Sharma (18) provided the late thrust after the hosts lost Sachin and Rayudu in quick succession.
