Raja Rani casting Arya, Nayanatara in the lead roles will have its grand scale audio launch in the month of August. This is the second combo film of Arya and Nayanthara after Boss Engira Baskaran. Atlee, a first timer is wielding the megaphone for the movie and the story revolves around the newly wed couple. The film has earned good expectations post the trailer release. While Arya and Nayan are playing the title roles of the film, Jai as Rani’s lover and Nazriya Nazim, as IT employee are playing prominent roles. AR Murugadoss is producing the film on Fox Star Studios production with GV Prakash scoring the tunes.
Raja Rani' set for September release
Tamil romantic comedy film “Raja Rani”, starring Arya and Nayanthara, will hit the screens in September. Director Atlee says it is a family entertainer focussing on life after marriage. The director hopes the movie connects with youngsters and family audiences. “My film will be an out-and-out family entertainer. It displays the sweet part of life after marriage. I hope it changes opinions of today's youngsters on the concept of marriage,” said Atlee in a statement. He is also happy with his cast. "Arya and Nayanthara play the married pair to perfection," added Atlee. “Raja Rani” is Fox Star Studios and A.R. Murugadoss’ third Tamil venture together.
Raja Rani trailer gets stunning response
Arya, Jai, Nayantara, Nazriya starrer Raja Rani trailer that was released on August 23 has got stunning response from the online viewers that it has earned 9 lakhs plus hits on youtube. The crisp trailer conveying the film’s theme on relationships with the lines “There is love after love failure” is catching moviegoers interest. GV Prakash’s background music is another highlight raising the expectations. Raja Rani marks the directorial debut of Atlee, who even received appreciation recently from his matinee idol Super Star Rajinikanth. Raja Rani is 3rd highest grosser
Arya, Nayantara, Jai and Nazriya Nazim starred Raja Rani directed by Atlee is one among the three highest grossed Tamil films in 2013. Earlier this year Kamal Haasan’s magnum opus Vishwaroopan and Suriya, Hansika’s Singam 2 directed by Hari are the two films that raked high in Tamil Nadu Box Office and now Raja Rani has joined the 50Crore Club within 25 days of release and still running successfully. Fox Star Studios and A R Murugadoss Productions Raja Rani has music by GV Prakash, cinematography by George C. Williams and editing by Anthony L. Rubens among the crew.
Raja Rani Goes on a TN State Award Spree
Director Atlee made his mark with his very first movie Raja Rani. The romantic drama made sure it impressed people of all age groups. A stellar star cast and music is one of the biggest reasons it succeeded so well. Now, the Tamil Nadu State Award has honored him with the best writer for Raja Rani. The lead pair Nayanthara has won the Best Actress award while Arya had won the Best Actor award making it a hat trick win for the entire team. Atlee is now working on his second movie with Vijay titled Mersal.
Rani- Saif team up
After Hum Tum became a hit, people really expected this pair to sizzle the screen once again. The wait though long is over. People will soon see the pair in a yet another Yashraj romantic film. The film is yet to be titled. The Salaam Namaste Director Sidharth Raj Anand will direct the film. Incidentally he had co written Hum Tum with Kunal Kohli. The film is not the boy meets girl romance. It is the serious genre of romance. The film talks about mature emotions and it is a mature romantic film. The director is hunting for locations for the film that match the script need. The film will be on the floor this June. It will be shot in a start to finish schedule. It will be shot outside India but surely not in Australia. The script the director feels will be a surprise package.
