Sathyaraj to star in Rathakanneer remake
Sathyaraj is a great fan of M R Radha. Sathyaraj has used some of the techniques of M R Radha on screen and like him, is an atheist off screen. So it is no surprise that Sathyaraj wants to do the remake of Rathakanneer, a movie that has given abiding name and fame to M R Radha. The movie about a decadent Anglophile, who derides everything India and goes on a hedonistic binge, was a cult hit as a drama and then as a film. It was M R Radha's calling card and the 'Adiye Kantha' dialogue is stuff of the local legend. It will be interesting to see Sathyaraj mouth those celebrated lines. Sathyaraj's favourite director, Sakthi Chidambaram may direct this remake. Sathyaraj also wants to remake his own hit Poovizhi Vasalile.

Ramcharan is realistic
Chiranjeevi is the Amitabh Bachchan of Telugu filmdom. His appeal is, in fact, even bigger and emotional. So when his son Ramcharan Teja was recently formally inducted into films, the talk has inevitably centered around to the Bachchan Junior. So the big question is whether Ramcharan can become what Abhishek has become in Telugu? Tough question really and a bit premature too. But the young and handsome Ramcharan is aware of the responsibility that come with the territory. He understands that he will obviously be compared to Chiru. Chiru is of course a tough act to emulate. Then there will the drawing parallels with Abhi. Abhi has become a star in his own right after much struggle. So Ramcharan's camp suggests that people should wait and watch and not jump to any hasty conclusions. The good thing about it all is that Ramcharan himself well aware of what is expected of him. But Ramcharan is also equally realistic about what can be done. 'Patience and perseverance is the key,' he says very realistically. With such qualities, he can sure go places.
Ramcharan evinces interest to work with Karunakaran
Ramcharan expressed his wish to play under the direction of Karunakaran. Though a Tamilian, A Kaunakaran, stayed back in Telugu films for the past several years. Moreover, he is very close to the families of Mega Brothers. In fact, it was Karunakaran who gave a big hit like 'Tholiprema' in his career. Unfortunately, none of his films that came later proved hit at Box Office. Despite that, he earned name as a good director and he continued to get opportunities. Though he brought out 'Happy' with Allu Arjun, it failed to give happiness to its buyers. Presently Karunakaran is busy with 'Ullasamgaa' Utsahamgaa'' whose audio was released recently. If everything goes well, a film in their combination is likely in 2009.
