NTR had his last release almost a year ago. And that was eminently forgettable. The fiasco of that movie still rankles in him. That is why he has taken time to get the feel and fervour right for Ashok, his next movie. The movie has almost taken a year to make. But NTR feels the wait is worth it. Directed by the talented Surender Reddy, the movie stars Saeera Reddy as the heroine. The movie is almost complete. The music is ready and may be released later this week. Producer Valluripalli Ramesh says the film itself would be released in June. Looks like NTR is ready for a big innings again.

'Ready' to hit screen with 160+ prints
The Ram-Genelia starrer 'Ready' is all set to hit the screen on June 19 (tomorrow) with over 160+ prints across the State. Directed by Sreenu Vaitla and produced by Sravanti Ravikishore on the banner of Sri Sravanti Movies, 'Ready' has fantastic music from Devisri Prasad. Producer says, 'Ram had good recognition among the youth that he could show good ease in dances and fights. The lilting tunes scored by Devisri Prasad, gave him further scope to showcase his talents further. Once again, Ram would mesmerise the audiences with his dances. Moreover, Peter Haynes choreographed excellent fights for our hero. We are confident that 'Ready' would remain another milestone in Ram's career. At the same time, Sreenu Vaitla would keep the audiences in good humour with his mark comedy. In total, the film has all kinds of elements that could attract all classes of audiences as we moulded it as a family entertainer with love story in its backdrop.'

Ready on the starting blocks
With just a week away for Tamil New Year's day, Kollywood is gearing up for new releases. Unlike early years when more than half-a-dozen movies would grace the theatres, this year it seems certain that only a handful would be out on Tamil New Year day. A couple of biggies seem to be a non-starter. Ajith, the man on a mission now, will see his Tirupathi getting released. Directed by Perarasu and produced by AVM, expectations on the movie are high. Director Susi Ganesan's comeback movie Thiruttu Payalae starring Jeevan and Sonia Agarwal would hit the cinema halls. Also in the race includes Parthiban's Pachchakkuthirra starring him and Namitha in the lead cast and Bharath starrer Azhagai Irukkirai Bayamai Irukkirathu (AIBI). AIBI is the being produced by director Cheran and directed by Vincent Selvah. Unfortunately movies like Kamal Hassan's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu and Vijayakanth's Perarasu seem to be a non-starter this festival day.
