Raghuvannan, son of actor-director Manivannan, was introduced to filmdom by his father in Maran, a few years ago. Unfortunately, the movie did not do well at the box-office forcing Manivannan to alter all his plans. Now Manivannan is nursing ambitions to relaunch his son to the silver screen. Talking to media persons at the sets of Nam Nadu, Manivannan said, 'I feel the time has come to relaunch my son. I would be directing a movie Agadhi, which would feature Raghuvannan in the lead role. Search is on for the heroine. Quite appropriate to the title, the movie deals about the Lankan refugees. We are planning to shoot the movie in Sri Lanka'. A dotting father, Manivannan says, 'Raghuvannan has learnt the nuances of acting and has prepared physically and mentally to face the challenges of this competitive industry'. The shooting would commence soon. Meanwhile, Manivannan has donned the role of Chief Minister in Sarath Kumar's Nam Nadu. He says, 'It is a powerful character in the movie. But I have not been inspired by any living personalities to do the role'.
The somersault in relationship
Stunt sequences of 'Sathyam' are coming out scorch with the racy choreography of stunt master Kanal Kannan. It was a full-size smack when the master was opted out from the project. Rajasekhar was waiting with will for the right jiffy to join in both the closed fists of the close friends. The rivalry existed between them took a somersault thanks to the efforts taken by the director. Kanal Kannan is back on track. He is now executing a chasing scene for Vishal in the Thambaram ' Dindivanam road.
A brand new relationship Television and cinema
Gone are the days when satellite television channels completely depended on filmdom for content and in the process make money. Going by recent trends, a U turn of sorts is happening. Television networks are foraying into movie production and distribution big time. Moreover, though film content has come to stay as staple diet for television channels, reality shows and soaps are also given equal prominence. Sun Pictures has shown the way with aggressive On Air Promotions for the film 'Khadalil Vizhundaen' which they bought once the film was completed. With aggressive promotions, the whole of Tamilnadu was looking forward to the film's release. And all this despite the fact that the film boasted of no star value whatsoever. 'Kadhalil Vizhundaen' did not disappoint at the box office and the makers would have to thank the aggressive campaign Sun Network indulged in. With this success Sun Pictures has now bought the film 'Thenavattu' that stars Jeeva and Poonam Bajwa. Following this trend, Kalaigner TV has started aggressive campaign for the Suriya starrer 'Vaaranam Aayiram'. The film that brings Gautham Vasudev Menon and Suriya together after the smash hit 'Khakka Khakka', has been bought by Cloud Nine Pictures that has been floated by Dayanidhi Azhagiri son of M. K. Azhagiri. Zee network too is making its presence felt in Tamil Cinema. The network has bought the highly anticipated film 'Naan Kadavul' which has been directed by Bala. Raj TV is co-producing the film 'Mahane En Marumahane' which is expected to be a family entertainer with the antiques of Vivek. Television networks have indeed become forces to reckon with and many films of the future may be produced by these networks that adhere to the corporate style of cinema business.

Sources close to the duo have confirmed the reports saying, though they are dating for a while now the couple wanted to maintain privacy. “Raina used to consider Shruti Haasan his lucky mascot.
