Rishi in search of success

Richard aka Rishi, brother-in-law of Ajith, is hopeful that 'Thamizhagam' will make it big. The young lad made his debut with 'Kadhal Virus' and then rechristened his name from Richard to Rishi in search of success. Rishi is shooting in Ooty for 'Yean Ippadi Mayakkinai', directed by 'Sillunu Oru Kadhal' fame Krishna. On his brother-in-law Ajith, Rishi says, "He is a source of inspiration for me. He had no backing and it was his self confidence that propelled him to great heights in filmdom. I want to act with Ajith. But, I would like to prove myself before sharing screen space with my sister's husband". "I play a police officer in 'Thamizhagam' while 'Yean Ippadi Mayakkinai' is a musical thriller. I play a salsa teacher in the movie".

Rishi Kapoor like a father to me, says Abhishek Bachchan

Actor Abhishek Bachchan is extremely fond of his "All Is Well" co-star Rishi Kapoor who is "like a father" to him. "You cannot bring your personal life in front of the camera. Personally I love him. He is like a father to me. I'm a huge fan of his. But I cannot bring it in the film because that is the opposite of what I'm meant to play with him in the film," said Abhishek about translating the off-screen camaraderie to on-screen chemistry in the film where they play a father-son duo. Actor Supriya Pathak and director Umesh Shukla were also present at a special promotional interaction with the media. "What our relationship is in real life is of no importance in front of the camera. We have to enact our characters. The two characters that we have in the film are of a father and son who don't get along. They keep fighting. I think he troubles me a lot and he thinks I trouble him a lot. You see those shades that banter keeps on going throughout the film. At the end of the day, we're actors and our job is to perform in front of the camera," said Abhishek. "All Is Well" is slated to release on 21 August and also stars Asin in the lead role. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series among others.

Rishi-Shoma unite after 23 years

Remember the tender romance of Rishi Kapoor and Shoma Anand in 'Coolie' that released way back in 1983? Though the movie was a HIT, it was known more for Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, Rati Agnihotri and off course Puneet Issar who came into limelight due to an unfortunate accident on the sets. No one thought of pairing Rishi and Shoma after that and while Rishi went on to do dozens of more romantic films, Shoma more or less settled down in 'bhabhi' roles only to re-emerge as a middle aged woman with good comic timing in films like 'Hungama' and 'Kya Kool Hain Hum'. 23 years after they first came together, Rishi and Shoma would now be seen together in yet another comic outing 'LOVE KE CHAKKAR MEIN'. The film is directed by BH Tharun Kumar who made a moderately successful 'Naye Padosan' a few years back that still enjoys a decent re-run on small screen.

Rishi Kapoor 'connects' with Naseeruddin Shah

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, who would next be seen in "Kapoor and Sons" and is busy shooting for the film in Coonoor, says he felt great meeting Naseeruddin Shah at the location. Rishi took the Twitter route to share his excitement with his fans. He wrote: "Coonoor. Great to connect with "The Naseeruddin Shah" last night after we worked in Khoj 26 years back. Easily amongst the greater actors (sic)" And to clarify that Naseeruddin was just a "guest" in Coonoor and not a cast member in "Kapoor and Sons", the 62-year-old actor posted another tweet shortly after. "Correction. Naseer is a guest in Coonoor not to be mistaken as cast member of #kapoorandsons. However,we hoped that would have been true," read the tweet. Directed by Shakun Batra, "Kapoor and Sons" also features actors Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, along with Pakistani actor Fawad Khan.
