John Abraham plans to remake 'Rocky Handsome' in Tamil, Telugu
Actor-producer John Abraham, who is likely to take action in Bollywood to an altogether new level with "Rocky Handsome", plans to remake the film in Tamil and Telugu. John told : "We would like to remake this film in the south. We have got superstars who are interested in doing this film in the south. Someone from Hyderabad saw this film and two-three actors in Tamil and Telugu filmdom are very interested in remaking this film because it's a very commercial project. So, we are very excited about it." The actor didn't wish to reveal the names of the southern stars who are interested in remaking "Rocky Handsome", but said: "The only fear is how we cope with this action because this action is too high-intensity." Directed by Nishikant Kamat, the Hindi film features John and Shruti Hassan, who last featured together in "Welcome Back". While the action in "Rocky Handsome" looks extremely diverse, John said he trained for martial arts Tai chi and Aikido in Thailand. "I trained myself for Tai chi and Aikido... I trained in those art forms for a month for 14 hours a day in Thailand with a master. We trained hard. I wanted to learn the art forms... I am playing with knives, and it's very difficult," the 43-year-old said. Talking about the film's USP, John said: "The USP of the film is the action that's backed by the emotions or the emotions that are backed by the action. With 'Rocky Handsome', I just felt that any amount of good action is worthless without the right and requisite emotion. "When we look at Hollywood films, we always talk about the James Bond kind of films and we say, 'Why can't we do the same?' I guess 'Rocky Handome' is the answer to Hollywood, where you can say, 'Here's the action and here's the action hero that could match up to all of you'," he added.

Actress Lisa Ray, who essays a secret agent in the upcoming romantic film "Ishq Forever", sports a chic look in the movie, courtesy designer Rocky S. Commenting on her look for the film, Lisa said in a statement: "I love Rocky's signature edgy glam style and it's perfect for this role. Rocky also gave me a dress from his new collection which is jaw-droppingly gorgeous. He's very choosy about styling for films as his fashion line is doing so well, so I'm thrilled he styled me for 'Ishq Forever'." Produced by Ajay Shah, Harry Gandhi and Shabbir Boxwala, "Ishq Forever", directed by Sameer Sippy, has been majorly shot in Cape Town. Lisa, 43, will be seen doing some serious action in the movie too. It will release in November.

Scary period ahead for 'Rocky' and 'Ahista Ahista'
One more week to go and 'Rocky-The Rebel' and 'Ahista Ahista' would be the two major releases on August 18th. 'Kathputli' that was originally slated for release tomorrow may also be joining them then. But is the overall situation indeed pleasant for the three flicks? Looks unlikely! KANK is now very much up there as far as taking historical collections is concerned. Releasing at record prints, the film would be dominating cinema screens all over where Hindi films are show. Media folks who have watched the film are going gaga over its prospects while the cast and crew is jubilant as well after the preview shows. This means that the film's euphoria would hardly settle down in a week's time and would continue for a good 2-3 weeks to come! So what happens to films like 'Rocky', 'Ahista Ahista' and 'Kathputli'? Inspite of a merit or two, it is likely that they would face rough weather in their opening week. With 5 confirmed releases a week after [Aap Ki Khatir, Bas Ek Pal, Shiva, Jaane Hoga Kya and Jaana - Let's Fall In Love] with 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' coming 2 weeks later, August would certainly be one of the busiest ever this month!
Rock-n-roll with Karan Johar
Karan Johar is in a self-admitted mess. The music of his forthcoming big-budget-hungama 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' has released to mixed response and he feels the comparison with Kal Ho Na Ho is not fair. Currently he is shooting a song Rock-n-Roll at the film temple in Yashraj Studios for the next ten days. The song is being choreographed by 'good friend' Farah Khan. It's the only thing that is left in the film as it required Amitabh Bachchan (Who had been out of action due to his illness) and Abhishek Bachchan. KANK is all set for a grand August release. The trailer of KANK which was first shown with 'Fanaa' has elicited a tremendous response. It is not the usual Karan Johar film. No doubt, it is about relationships with a dash of bhangra. But Johar for the first time is also trying to deal with 'adultery' in his films. Shahrukh Khan ' Preity Zinta and Abhsihek Bachchan ' Rani Mukherjee are married couples who get attracted to each other's opposite number. So Abhi romances Preity while Shah likes the conventional approach of Rani. Shot in the winters in US, KANK has brilliant visuals and is most certainly the most awaited film of the year. Karan is also upbeat about Pakistani singer Shafqat Amanat Ali from the band Fusion who has sung the unconventional 'Mitwa'. It was the joint decision of Shankar Mahadevan and Johar of asking Ali to do this track which will go down well with the masses. With the date of release approaching fast, Karan Johar's heart is rocking with nervousness and his head is rolling with pressure.
