Who is scared of asking Rajinikanth 'One More'!?

Usually, Young Filmmakers don't get the chance to work with Superstars like Rajinikanth. In that way, 'Kabali' Director Pa.Ranjith is so lucky as he bagged the golden opportunity within a short period after making his directorial debut. For someone as Young as him, Directing a Superstar is always going to be challenge and hence the toughest part will be the first few days of shoot. Initially, Ranjith was so scared to ask Rajinijanth for retakes. After 3-4 retakes, He lacked the courage to say 'One More' and he even apologized to him at one point. That's when Rajini noticed the nervousness and took him aside to say, 'Don't bother about my star status. You just ask any number of retakes until you were satisfied'. These words gave the comfort level for the Director to shoot the movie the way he wanted it to be. Even Dhansika who plays a Lady Don in 'Kabali' have similar experience with the Superstar for the first two days. Director and Cameraman helped her overcome it and given her best shot.

Why Mega Fans Scared of 'Boss is Back'?

Ever since megastar Chiranjeevi has announced his comeback to filmdom, mega fans have started calling his reentry as 'Boss is Back'. This tagline looks to have become a nightmare for them now. 'Boss is Back' tag was widely publicized when Chiru made a cameo appearance in Charan's 'Bruce Lee'. As the film became a flop, mega fans were trolled by the anti-fans using the same tagline, calling it the failure of 'Boss' aka Chiranjeevi. Now, the 'Boss is Back' title has resurfaced to haunt mega fans. Ace cinematographer Ratnavelu, who was roped into film megastar's 'Khaidi No.150' has informed that the unit has completed shooting of a song. He said that fans will go euphoric after watching megastar's dances. "Boss is Back song filmed! Fans will go berserk by Megastar's dance n Dsp's tune," Ratnavelu posted on his twitter page. Soon, a mega discussion has started on twitter with both mega fans as well as common movie goers wondering if 'Boss is Back' was the name of the just completed song. If it was true, it would be an act of self-boasting and an open invitation for criticism, especially when the film deals with the sensitive subject of farmers' plight. Already, a few mega fans are skeptical about the film's result with the inclusion of overhyped item song and punch dialogues. 'If a song also is titled 'Boss is Back', barring the fans no one would be keen to set foot in theatres, they opine.

SACRED EVIL - Director duo speak out

As Sacred Evil gets readied for a release, the director duo of Abhiyaan Rajhans and Abhigyan Jha have something special to share with the audience. As per them, 'Sacred Evil' is the first Indian film to delve into the genre of the psychological and the supernatural. Using an international starcast, coupled with the skills of the wonderful French director of photography, Ivan Kozelka, it carries none of the usual baggage of an Anglo-Indian film. It does not depict ethnic cultures or social conditions and, more importantly, does not require an interest in things Indian to be enjoyed to understood. The film tells a universal story, exploring fears and the yearning for redemption. What makes the story unique is that it is based on real-life incidents and yet deals with witchcraft and the supernatural. As directors, they have tried to shoot the film in all the locations where the real events took place including some of the locales from the Calcutta of the 80s.This is what makes everything so 'real' in the film.

'Sacred Evil - A True Story' postponed

In yet another instance of a film being moved to a latter day in nick of time, 'Sacred Evil - A True Story' too has been pushed to June 2. Earlier it was being planned for a release this Friday. When the movie's promotion started, it seemed to have come out of the blue as there was absolutely no buzz during the production and post-production of the film. Also the film was almost ready almost a year back and an English title with prominently foreign starcast [with an exception of Sarika] didn't really make it a conventional Bollywood release. But what made matters interesting for its makers [and the audience] is that the promos managed to create some curiosity that managed to bring in some awareness. With a contemporary Hollywood horror/drama/thriller look brought to Indian scenario, the idea clicked with the 'multiplex audience', which is in fact the target audience of the film. Hence it doesn't sound like a step in the wrong direction to postpone the film by a couple of weeks. This time could be used to the best advantage of the film and who knows we may just have another 'Being Cyrus' in hands that turned out to be surprise average runner for an English language film!
