Pichaikaran girl Satna, who was seen as a village belle in her debut film, will play a tomboyish role in Thittam Pottu Thirudura Koottam. While speaking to a leading English daily, the actress said, "I played a rural girl in my first film. But in this one, I play a tomboyish role. I had to do a lot of homework before the shoot as the character is new to me. I had to learn certain gestures and body language for my role."
Satna turns tomboy for Thittam Poattu Thirudura Kootam
Satna Titus, the pretty charming actress of Pichaikkaran, is all excited about her upcoming film Thittam Poattu Thirudura Kootam. Produced by Two MovieBuffs in association with Across Films, TPTK is directed by debutant Karthik and has a bunch of talented technicians that includes cinematographer Joe Martin (Vil Ambu), music director Ashwath (Nalanum Nandhiniyum), editor Venkat (Miruthan), art director Remiyan (Ambuli & Pandigai) and stunt choreographer Billa Jegan. Elaborating on her role, Satna said, “I play a jolly bold Tomboy in which was a fresh experience. Right from the walking style of modern girls, I have also clearly analyzed their wardrobe, boldness, gesture and body language. My co-star and good friend Kayal Chandran was a great support for me in the sets."
Satna Titus to play Arya's lady love in Santhana Devan
As reported earlier, director Ameer will be teaming up with Arya for a film titled Santhana Devan. Yuvan Shankar is said to be roped in to compose the music for this film which is expected to be a rural action film on the lines of Paruthiveeran. The makers are planning to start the shoot of this film in the month of October. While some people claim that Nayanthara has been approached to play the female lead against Arya after their outings BOSS and Raja Rani. Our sources close to the team say that Pichaikaaran fame Satna Titus might be roped in as the heroine. An official announcement regarding this is awaited!
Chandran - Satna's movie gets a title
We had already reported that Kayal Chandran and Satna Titus will share screen space in an upcoming film under debutante Sudhar's direction. This project has been titled as 'Thittam Poattu Thirudura Kootam' and it was launched with an auspicious pooja today. The cast and crew will start shooting soon. We wish the TPTK team all the best!
Sana makes her debut
Remember her light-eyed father Aditya Pancholi who did a couple of good films. Her mother Zarina Wahab was an amazingly talented actress and was recently seen in a TV series in a longish role. Its time now to see the offspring of these two actors make her on screen debut. Sana Pancholi will soon make her debut on the silver screen with Direct Dil Se. Vivek Vasawani is making the film. She is making her acting debut opposite VJ Ranvijay. The film will be shot in London and will be directed by debutant director Nishant Goyal. Sana has just completed with her HSC exams. She is quite keen on pursuing acting as a career though at a point the thought swindled a bit. But now she is very sure that she will take up films. Sana is a kathak-trained dancer and she has great knowledge of film dancing. Her parents also approve of her choice of her career. Sana's character in the film is that of the only Indian girl in a London University. It is known to be a sweet romantic comedy. This film happened by chance. The director happened to see her pictures, met her and finalized her for the role. She is quite nervous about facing the camera. The film is produced by Vivek Vaswani and Motion Pictures Partners International, UK.
Sana Althaf's Salomy
After the role of a sister to character played by Dulqar Salman in 'Vikramadhityan' which pushed her to limelight, Sana Althaf did have a surprise when the heroine role of 'Mariam Mukku' came to her.She plays the role of Salomy, the daughter of a foreigner who settled in Kerala, in the film.She and Felix, played by Fahadh are thick friends even from school, in the film. And she knows Felix better than any one. Scripted by James Albert who debuts as a director through the film, the movie 'Mariyam Mukku, also features four songs by Vidhya Sagar.The director says that he is also pretty impressed with Sana who is quite talented and gives fine performances even in the first takes.
