Actress Sayani Gupta has been chosen as the official host of the Facebook Live for the 17th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards, set to take place here from Thursday. The "Fan" actress said in a statement: "This will be my first IIFA. That too in Spain! And I get to host the backstage and live both for Facebook and Colors channel for IIFA 2016." "This is a great opportunity and should be super fun too. This is the perfect way to mix work and fun! We are off to Madrid tonight (Wednesday)." On the films front, the actress is all set for "Baar Baar Dekho" release in September.
Saiyami Kher to star in a chick flick next
Saiyami Kher made a grand entry into Bollywood with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's much talked about directorial 'Mirzya' opposite Harshvardhan Kapoor, but the debut didn't go as planned. Come 2017 and Saiyami is all set for her next project. Buzz is that Saiyami Kher has been roped in for director Rajshree Ojha's next. Rajshree Ojha has earlier directed 'Aisha' starring Sonam Kapoor. And this untitled film is said to be another chick flick. Well, after playing an intense character in her first film, it would be interesting to see Saiyami play a girl next door in this one.

Sayanora gathers applause
As the audio of Sivaji has become a rage in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, one of the singers is jumping with Joy in her home town in Kerala. The one family in Kerala that has personal reasons to celebrate this success- is Sayonara's. The Singer from Kerala had sung a song in the album that too the opening numbers with A R Rahman. For this song, starting Athiradi Kaaran..., Sayonara had modulated her voice more like Shakira. After recording the Tamil version, the music director tried to bring someone else to sing the song in it Telugu version, but very soon he realized that the voice wasn't as good as Sayonara's. Eventually, she sang the song in Telugu too. Now both the songs are reigning the charts. Sayanora has earlier worked with A R Rahman in many projects. She was in the lead of Rahman's Bosnian album, and also worked as a chorus singer in Manirathnam's Guru. Then she sung songs for Sillunu Oru Kadhal, its Telugu version, and a yet-to-be released Hindi film 'Jane Kyon'. As she has become a regular with Rahman, She will join him, when he tours the US and Canada this summer for music shows. Sayanora debuted into filmdom with the song that she has sung for Malayalam movie Manjupoloru Penkutty in the music of Alphonse. Recently she had sung two songs for the Malluwood Vishu hits Chotta Mumbai and Big B.
Saiyami Kher lands important role in Mani Ratnam's next
"Mirziya" actress Saiyami Kher, who was last seen in Telugu film "Reya, has reportedly bagged a role in ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam's next yet-untitled Tamil-Telugu bilingual, which features Karthi and Nani in the lead. "Saiyami is not playing the second lead, but she has been roped in for a brief role. Nothing more is known about her role as of now," a source from the film's unit told. Ratnam's project, which features Nithya Menon as the female lead, has gone through lot of changes in the last couple of months. The project was initially planned as a Tamil revenge drama and was slated to go on the floors this December. Last month Ratnam decided to make it as a bilingual and pushed the film to next year, forcing actor Dulquer Salmaan, who was earlier roped in to play the lead, to walk out of the project. Telugu actor Nani replaced Dulquer. The latest update is that actress Keerthy Suresh has quit the project too. "Keerthy was to play one of the female leads. She met Ratnam last week and conveyed her decision to exit the project and he respected it," the source said. The film will have music by A.R Rahman and Ravi Varman will crank the camera.
