Since Himesh Reshammiya has started his new project as hero in Bollywood, he could not do the back ground music (BGM) for Kamal Haasan's mega movie Dasavatharam. So Kamal and the director K.S. Ravikumar have decided to go for Devi Sriprasad to do the BGM for the movie. Though Devi Sriprasad is quite busy with Tamil and Telugu, he has immediately accepted to do the BGM for the most awaited after film 2008. For him, working in Kamal's movie is a sentimental choice, as he was inspired by Kamal's 'Salangai Oli' to become a music director. It fact, it is a dream come true for the youngster to do music for Kamal's film. The young musician is awe stuck by Kamal's ten different get ups and amazing acting in the film. Like Himesh, the smart looking Devi Sriprasad too gets offers to act as hero. The music director, who is doing music for the films like Kanthaswamy, Santosh Subramaniam, and the new film featuring Vijay in Prabhu Deva's direction, is not averse to the idea of acting. He is ready to take up the challenge if he is offered a good role.
Jayapradha plays it coolly
Veteran actress Jayapradha is making a comeback in Tamil cinema after a long gap. The yesteryear heroine had won accolades for her roles in movies including Ninaithalae Inikum and Salangai Oli opposite Kamal Haasan. The beautiful lady is playing a prominent role in Kamal Haasan's Dasavatharam. No sooner the news of Jayapradha making a comeback in Tamil filmdom spread, then several producers made a beeline to her. However Jayapradha has chosen not to do any more Tamils films now. According to her, 'I accepted to act in Dasavatharam, since it was Kamalji's film. He is one of the actors, whom I admire a lot. I watched him at very close quarters and admired him a lot. I readily agreed when Kamal Haasan approached me'.
Dasavatharam - Smart pair again
Kamal Haasan and Jayapradha were hailed as a great pair in Kollywood in 1980s. Some of the movies like Ninaithalae Inikkum and Salangai Oli, which featured both together, are still watched with great admiration by film-buffs. After almost a couple of decades, the two are coming together for Dasavatharam. Jayapradha, who is currently a busy politician, has given up all her busy political schedule, to be part of the movie. However details about the role to be played by Jayapradha have been guarded as a close secret. Meanwhile, a few scenes involving Mallika Sherawat and Nepolean were shot recently for Dasavatharam. Taking part in a film function recently, Kamal Haasan expressed his admiration for Jayapradha's acting skills. Jayapradha, who was present on the occasion, complimented Kamal Haasan for his commitment and dedication to the profession. The two coming together has generated a lot of interest in film circle. Meanwhile, Jayapradha who met Chief Minister M Karunanidhi recently has expressed her desire to act in the role of Kannagi.
