Saleem ' Dhummu Reputhadu starring Vishnu Vardhan Babu and Dr Mohan Babu under the main villain role set to start camera on 14th August. This is a Mohan Babu's own production 'Lakshmi Prasanna Movies' and directed by YVS Chowdary. Though the hero is not a reigning star in Tollywood but hold good features like Asthram, Game and recent hit Dhee (2007) and has great prospects in future. Director Chowdary is also looking for a break after the debacle of Okka Magadu.
'Saleem' begins regular shooting
Starring Manoj, Sneha Ullal as the hero and heroines, the film 'Nenu Meeku Telusa' is directed by debutant Ajay Sastry as his first directorial venture. Dr M Mohan Babu is presenting the film, produced by Lakshmi Prasanna on Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures banner. It is familiar that the film is going to be released on 10th of this month. Director Ajay Sastry is presenting the hero Manoj in a new style, completely different from his earlier endeavors. Similarly, he is also casting the heroine in a rather stylish way. It seems the maker is arduous to bring out captivating ideas for the movie designs. The designs of 'Nenu Meeku Telusa?' which have been created like never before for any Telugu movie have elated the craze for the film. It is said that the movie will also be unique like its designs.

Featuring Vishnu and Ileana in the lead cast, in the direction of YVS Chowdary, 'Saleem' is produced by Dr M Mohanbabu on Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures. Reliance Big Pictures is making its entry into Tollywood with this film. To announce the same, the unit members met the press at Ramoji Film City today. Speaking to the press Dr M Mohanbabu said, "Till date we have made 49 films on Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures, 'Saleem' is our 50th venture. This is the time corporate companies are making their entry in to the film industry. If the producers who are planning to make good films, join with these corporate companies, it will generate jobs for a large number of people. I am happy that the prestigious Reliance Corporate is stepping into Tollywood as Big Pictures with 'Saleem'. "We have now joined hands with them in making 'Saleem'. If they are successful with this first venture, it will pave way for other corporate companies to enter the film field," suggested the producer. "Apart from this, we are planning to make another film shortly with Big Pictures. We will soon announce the director and hero for this film. Right now we are shooting a song for 'Saleem' featuring the hero and heroine. A huge set has been constructed that costs 30 lakhs, for this song. The shooting is in progress since the last four days and will go on for four more days," added the maker. Mahesh, representative of Big Pictures, says, "We were looking forward to start in Telugu with a good production house, we feel happy that a big production house like Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures have joined us in this venture." Vishnu, Ileana, Jaiprakash Reddy, Tanikella Bharani, MS Narayana, Hema, Ali, Ramya, Nepolian, RamPrasad, writer Ravi, and others were present on the occasion.
Son is hero while father plays villain in 'Saleem'
After Mohanbabu snapped ties with Krishnavamsi following some differences of opinion for the film with Vishnu as hero, YVS Choudary came in handy for the producer to bring out a film on the banner of Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures. The story narrated by YVS Choudary tentatively titled 'Saleem' impressed the actor-cum-producer. 'Dummu Reputadu' is the tagline of the movie. The story turned very interesting when Choudary made Mohanbabu to play the villain in the film. It is worth mentioning here that Mohanbabu stopped doing villainy for a long time. Though his role in 'Bujjigadu' had negative shades, it is not a complete villainy and is very positive in the end. However, it is learnt that Mohanbabu had agreed to play the villain in which his son is playing he hero. This had brought good craze on the project. Presently YVS Chodary is busy in searching suitable locations in and around Orissa.
Saqib Saleem's 'Dishoom' role inspired by Virat Kohli
Actor Saqib Saleem says his role of a cricketer in upcoming action entertainer "Dishoom" is in a way inspired by Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. "I play a character that is inspired by Virat (Kohli) you can say. Rohit Dhawan is the director and it's got a very interesting ensemble with Varun Dhawan, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, Akshaye Khanna and me," Saqib said at the unveiling of designer Varun Bahl's collection of rugs. "I'm really looking forward to it. I've shot for some bits of the film, but I start shooting for it again in end of December," added Saqib, who can be seen showcasing his cricketing skills as a member of Sohail Khan's team Mumbai Heroes in the Celebrity Cricket League. The first look of the film with Varun and John in an intense action still was unveiled earlier this week. Apart from "Dishoom", Saqib will also be seen in Hindi remake of Hollywood film "Oculus" in which he stars alongside his sister Huma Qureshi. Talking about the film, he said: "It is an interesting experience, we stay together, eat together, discuss films and now are acting together as well. As much as 90 percent of the film is complete. We will shoot for the remaining 10 percent around January to February. We're looking at an April-May release."
Saqib Saleem gifts himself a labrador
Saqib Saleem brought home a three-year-old labrador retriever named Streak this Eid. He says his "entire family is really thrilled at his arrival". The brother of actress Huma Qureshi is extremely fond of dogs. He has adopted the dog from a friend. "They say that a dog is a man's best friend and Streak is already on his way to becoming mine… We are getting to know and understand each other," Saqib said in a statement. He added: "Not just me but my entire family is really thrilled at his arrival, we are all already competing for his attention." On the professional front, the 28-year-old actor will be seen playing a cricketer in the upcoming film 'Dishoom'.
