More news →'Sangamam' first copy is ready
The first copy of 'Sangamam' directed by Rasool Ellore, presented by Gavara Parthasarathi and produced by Ramana Pemmaraju and Dr Kripakar P Thonda on the banner of Manoranjan Entertainment Pvt Ltd, with Sindhura Gadde and Rohit Khurana playing the lead, is ready. The producers says, 'We are making efforts to release the film during May itself. Over 80 per cent of the film was shot in the US as per the demand of the story. Our film highlights the speciality of Indian culture with love in its backdrop Sindhura Gadde played a different role. Keeravani scored fantastic music.' Muralimohan, Brahmanandam, Raghunatha Reddy, Avinash, Krishna Kaushik, Suhasini, Vijayasri, Anil, Anand Varma, Sivannarayana, Narsing Yadav, Raghava, Subbaraju and others are in the cast. Lyrics are by Anantha Sriram, camera is by Jayaram and S Sandeep, story and dialogues are by Surendra Krishna, script assistance by Suresh and Prakash, choreography is by Babu and Vidya, editing is by Gauthamraju, while screenplay and direction are by Rasool Ellore.
Nithyashree Mahadevans Thiruveni Sangamam
Nithyashree Mahadevan, who was noticed by film music lovers after her animated rendition of 'Kannodu Kaanbathellam' from the Shankar directed Jeans, presented an evening of timeless melodies from erstwhile films amidst a packed audience. Granddaughter of veteran singer DK Pattammal, Nithyashree Mahadevan has sung many songs in films while still balancing her Carnatic music career. She rendred songs of MS Subbulakshmi, her grandmother DK Pattammal and ML Vasanthakumari in Thiruveni Sangamam, which was also attended by her grandmother. Her rendition of the immortal 'Kaatrinilae Varum Geetham' from Meera was well-received.
Two new actors pin their hopes on Sangamam
Two new faces will try their luck to be stars in Tollywood when 'Sangamam' will get released in the 3rd week of April. The film has Rohit Khurana playing the main man and Sindhura Gadde his lady love. American landscapes forms the background for 80% of the film. The film is directed by Rasool Ellore, produced by Ramana Pemmaraju and Dr.Krupakar P.Tadikonda under the banner of Manoranjan Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Best of luck to the two new faces.
Sangama is very special S.V.Babu
The prestigious banner S.V.Babu Productions biggest venture Kannada movie starring Golden star Ganesh and Vedhika in 'Sangama' has completed the talkie portion and completing two songs in the first week of September. In the third week of week of September the film audio release function is planned in a big style. 'Sangama' meaning joining together is coming together of debutant director Ravi Verma who was make up man and music director for the last 18 years in his career, music director Devisriprasad, S.V.Productions, Golden star Ganesh and actress Vedhika. Producer S.V.Babu says the film 'Sangama' has shot the talkie and song portions in 60 days. He is simultaneously producing 'Josh' in the direction of reputed director Shivamani with a bunch of new artists. Director Ravi Verma has done a very good job and I feel that I have not made any mistake compared to my earlier movie 'Savi Savi Nenapu' recalled producer S.V.Babu. Previously he has produced Honeymoon Express, Thenali Rama, Savi Savi Nenapu in Kannada and his debut Telugu film 'Andamaina Manasulu' was received well. One of the songs in 'Sangama' was shot with three thousand bulbs on all the 360 degree on a glass floor. Such new attempts that calls for lavish spending is not new to S.V.Babu. For his Telugu film 'Andamaina Manasulu' the song was shot in the cloud background. Every song competes to each other in quality, melody and musical score of Devisri Prasad in 'Sangama' says the proud producer SV Babu. On roping in popular music director Devisri Prasad the producer is of the opinion that he has given better music than his Telugu films. In 'Sangama' we are giving whatever the audience require. Besides giving prominence to love subject there is lot of scope for comedy and Komalkumar will have a biggest success from this film feels Babu. The whole film is told in a very pleasant style the pair Ganesh and Vedhika going steal the show observes Babu. 'Sangama' is slated for release in October 2008. Jhenkar Audio has bought the rights of the audio of the film. The highly successful distributor in Karnataka of various languages Pal Enterprises is distributing 'Sangama'.
'Sangama' is my best - Vedhika
The pretty, talkative, intelligent and ready to take up big challenges Vedhika strongly feels 'Sangama' Kannada film she has acted with Golden star Ganesh is the best role of her career of two years in South Indian cinema. Vedhika who has Karnataka connections as her grand parents are from Karnataka and Maharashtra border feels very happy for the very good banner, actor, music director and cool director she got in her first Kannada film 'Sangama'. She plays Lakshmi in 'Sangama' the bubbly and lively role that has good music and dance. I feel so special because of thorough gentlemen in this film set up who are amazing in qualities said Vedhika. Graduate in B.Sc in Business Administration and M.Sc in Marketing from London Vedhika studied in an international atmosphere. She completed her schooling in Panchagni Boarding School. With a very few assignments in Hindi Vedhika was selected by Tamil star Arjun for 'Madrasi'. The going in arch light was easy for Vedhika because she had completed her studies desired by her parents. In 'Muni' opposite Lawerence, 'Kaalai' with Simbu, Sakkarakatti, Telugu film Vijayadashami she proved that she is ready to deliver good performance. Vedhika too training in acting from Kishore Namith Kapoor School and is a prolific Bharatanatyam and Kathak dancer. Making use of her educational qualifications Vedhika a strong admirer of Sridevi in 'Chaalbaaz' and 'Sadma' wants to start a restaurant and flourish as a business tycoon like her dad.
'Sangama' musical treat
The SV Pictures 'Sangama' starring Golden star Ganesh and Vedhika in lead roles directed by debutant Raviverma and Devisriprasad musical scores for the first time in Kannada film is a musical treat for the film fans. This was evident from the four songs screened at the audio release of 'Sangama' on Sunday evening at The Bell Hotel in Bangalore. The six songs containing audio CD and cassettes were released by leading lady Smt.Parvathamma Rajakumar and noted producer Rockline Venkatesh in the presence of whole team of Sangama and a few other bigwigs of Kannada cinema industry. Releasing the CD the proud producer of Kannada cinema Smt.Parvathamma Rajakumar said the Kannada cinema is growing in heaps and bounds off late and reaching to the cent percent results. The performance in the songs that were shown says Ganesh and Vedhika have performed well opined Smt.Parvathamma Rajakumar. The cynosure on the evening of audio release Devisriprasad said he would not forget this day in his lifetime. The urge and fascination to give good results is appreciable in the team of producer S.V.Babu. Dialogue writer Kaviraj has made me to learn Kannada and he is the fastest lyricist I have seen said Devi addressing the mammoth attendance that also included his fans. He sang the Dil Mange More'song of 'Sangama' with golden star Ganesh and thrilled the fans. Golden star Ganesh felt the beautiful romantic love story 'Sangama' would be lapped up by the audience. He thanked producer S.V.Babu and team for giving nice treatment throughout the film. Producer S.V.Babu's sons Sanjay Babu and Vinay Babu, Raghavendra Rajakumar, KCN Kumar, Soundarya Jagadish, sound engineer Udaya Kumar, Lyricist Kaviraj, mentor of director Raviverma ' noted music director V.Manohar, Gurukiran and others took part in the well organized audio release event of 'Sangama'. Jhenkar Audio Suresh Jain and Bharat Jain have released the 'Sangama' album to the market.
