Sanjay and Milan Luthria's friendship goes back a long way in time. Sanjay as we all know had taken out time from his busy schedule to do the dubbing for Taxi no. 9211. When the reports of the great response that it has received at the box office reached him, he promptly called up Milan to say, "I am so glad that your film is doing so well. I am really happy for you." He further added that, "You are really a fabulous director and wish all the best." Now that's what we call true friendship.

Sanjay Dutt's next release is Tathastu

In 2005, Sanjay Dutt was mainly seen in cameos or guest appearances except for films like 'Shabd' and 'Dus' that had him in the front. Be it Tango Charlie, Parineeta, Viruddh, Shaadi No. 1, Vaah Life Ho To Aisi or a song appearance in Ek Ajnabee, there were always other stars in the movie that were projected as leads. 2006 has been different in this regard with first 'Zinda' and now 'Tathastu' releasing soon that has him in the main lead. Interestingly the movie also unites him with his 'Dus' director Anubhav Sinha who has made diverse films like 'Tum Bin' and 'Aapko Pehle Bhi Kahi Dekha Hai' in the past before coming up with a popcorn entertainer 'Dus' and now a drama 'Tathastu'. The film is about a father's struggle to fight against the immunity and numbness of the society towards the injustice done to his daughter. 'Tathastu' also stars Amisha Patel and Jaya Prada in the lead.

Sanjay Gupta goes 4 steps ahead of RGV

Whatever Sanjay Gupta does, he does that in style. Known for his stylish films that always wear a great looks regardless of the subject, Sanjay Gupta has gone ahead and made his intentions crystal clear about 'Dus Kahaniyan'. While Ram Gopal Verma initiated such an experiment in contemporary Bollywood with 'Darna Mana Hai' [average] and 'Darna Zaroori Hai' [flop], each of which had 6 main stories, Sanjay Gupta has taken 4 steps ahead by announcing his 10 story film 'Dus Kahaniyan'. What he does different from his contemporary is that each of his 10 stories are slated to belong to different genre'n'theme and would boast of a different treatment rather than the above mentioned films that mainly tackled horror genre. A multistarrer on the anvil, 'Dus Kahaniyaan' is certainly going to generate a lot of heat once its actual production begins.

Sanjay Bhansali faces arrest

Ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is in for some troubled times. Farida Hoosenally, an antique shop owner in South Mumbai had rented some expensive antique items to Bhansali during the shooting of his acclaimed masterpiece 'Black'. The same antique pieces were destroyed in the fire that had gutted the sets of the film. When Bhansali refused to compensate the losses that ran into crores, she had to run helter-skelter before High Court intervened and directed the police to file an FIR in the case. Farida arrived in Mumbai from London on Friday and will be filing an FIR at the Aarey Police Station today. Since this is a non-bailable offence, it could mean the arrest of six people, including Bhansali, the prime accused. Farida says she was charmed by Sanjay's smooth ways and due to which she never took any guarantee from him and gave away the furniture. But when the damage was done, Bhansali even stopped taking her calls. It is strange but SLB has a history of fire destroying his sets. The story started with a palatial set catching fire leading to the loss of crores in 'Devdas'. 'Black' met with a similar mishap. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is unavailable but his office says that let the law take its own course. Stay tuned to MusicMazaa for updates to the antics unspoiled by this story.
