Saravanan, who made a come back with Paruthi Veeran, is bubbling with joy. The actor, who played the lead role in many films, disappeared from the Tamil film scene, only to bounce back with a bang in Ameer's Paruthi Veeran. Saravanan played uncle to Karthi in Paruthi Veeran. His performance won admiration from all quarters. Today, Saravanan is back in the hunt with several offers coming his way. A happy Saravanan says, 'I thank Ameer for keeping faith in me and giving me an opportunity to play a prominent role in Paruthi Veeran. It was a challenging role and thanks to Ameer, I could do it well.' After Paruthi Veeran, over a dozen offers have come his way. But the actor is very conscious about choosing his forthcoming films. Says Saravanan, 'I am keen on choosing good, quality scripts. My long absence from filmdom has taught me several lessons. I will strive to sustain the new-found image.'
Saravanan gets a new lease of life
After the spectacular success of Paruthiveeran, offers are pouring in for Saravanan. He made his debut as hero a few years ago. But a slew of failures halted his progress. Thanks to Ameer's Paruthiveeran, his career was back on track. He played the prominent role of Sithappu in the movie and his performance was widely acclaimed. The movie's success brought a fresh lease of life to him. He is currently acting in Veeramum Eeramum directed by Sanjay Ram. Also a couple of big offers are on its way. Meanwhile, Saravanan has agreed to do a movie for Sanjay Ram again. After completing Veeramum Eeramum, the two will come together for their next titled Othaiku Othai. It would be an action-packed entertainer and is also inspired by a real-life incident, quite like Sanjay Ram's earlier ventures.
Saravanan in an interesting role
After the resounding success of 'Paruthi Veeran', actor Saravanan will be playing a Boom Boom Maatukkaran in the film 'Vannakkamma'. Vishnupriyan joins him in this film that talks about two young boys who go to jail and come out only to see a friendless and indifferent world and yet they have to eek out a living somehow. They start looting houses coming in different disguises and that is where the fun probably is. Initially the writer and director of the film Anbu Thennarasu had the troublesome duo don the costumes of Lord Ram and Hanuman. Hindu organizations objected to it and the director re-shot the scene using the Boom Boom Maatukkaran getup. A debutante by name Swathika plays the heroine and will be joined by Madan Bob and Vennira Aadai Moorthy in interesting roles. Music is by Srikanth Deva and camera work by Balamurali.
JK Saravana Youngest Producer in Chennai
Singapore born Film Producer, JK Saravana of Tantra Films, is currently producing 'Chennai 600028' with his buddy SP Charan of Capital Film Works. His other childhood buddy Venkat Prabhu is wielding the megaphone in the director's chair. At 25 years of age, JK Saravana is said to be currently the youngest producer in the Tamil Film Industry. He has a television production house, Tantra Television (formerly known as Art of Entertainment in Singapore which has produced for local television channel Vasantham Central an award winning telefilm, 'Chakra' and a Hit Variety Series, 'Planet Galatta'. His audio wing, Tantra Records has produced a record selling album, ' Planet Galatta'. MusicMazaa wishes JK Saravana all the best in his future endeavors!
AVM Saravanan meets Shankar
Putting an end to rumors that producer A V M Saravanan and director Shankar have fallen apart after Sivaji, the former called on the latter at his office in Chennai. Saravanan had a brief meeting with Shankar and thanked him for directing Sivaji starring Rajinikanth and Shriya, which has went on to become a blockbuster. Produced by AVM in their diamond jubilee year, Sivaji is one of the big-budgeted films which was released last month. The movie went on to find a place in UK Top Ten collection list too. Shankar was out of the country during the movie's release and returned a few days ago. Saravanan called on Shankar and thanked him for rendering a big hit in Sivaji.
Sibiraj in Saravana Subbiah's film
After a blockbuster in Lee, Sibiraj is all set to commence his next for director Saravana Subbiah. The young Saravana Subbiah made his debut with Citizen starring Ajith. The movie featured Ajith in nine different makeups and went on to become a hit. Saravana Subbiah followed it up with ABCD featuring Shaam and Sneha. It was a movie with a bold theme. Though ABCD managed a lukewarm response at the box office, Subbiah won enough appreciations.
