Ranjith Sankar, the talented director recently revealed his experiences on working with megastar Mammootty. The director has associated with the actor for the 2014-released highly acclaimed movie Varsham. According to Ranjith, it was Mammootty who made him realise the importance of detailing in film-making. During the filming of Varsham, the actor insisted on changing the costume pattern according to the transformation of his character. His keen observation skill has always astonished Ranjith Sankar, and the director feels that it is very difficult to describe the actor's personality in one word. He states that Mammootty is a gem of a person. In personal life, it was the megastar who taught Ranjith, the importance of maintaining a healthy communication with the life partner. Mammootty will always find time to talk with wife Sulfath, even during the busy shooting schedules. The actor strongly believes in sharing even his smallest thought with his wife. But Ranjith, on the other hand, was a very reserved person in his family life, who doesn't talk much to his wife. But, Mammootty and Sulfath's strong bond made Ranjith realise his mistake. The director states that he has started having long conversations with his wife and shares all his thoughts with her.

Sarkar Raj retouched?

It was all decided that Sarkar Raj will see light come May. But if the reports doing the rounds in Bollywood circles are to be believed then the film's release is likely to be postponed yet again. It is reported that this time the film is being delayed because Big B wants a few scenes in the film to be retouched. The film was delayed till May because the Bachchans wanted 'Jodhaa Akbar' to be their bahu's first release after marriage and this time Bachchan senior wants to retouch a few scenes involving him and his son. It is said that Amitabh wants to be very careful this time around because this is the first film for Abhishek after his marriage. We are not very sure what the director RGV has taken of this idea of redoing. It is said that he is quite happy with how the film has shaped up and does not want to implement anymore changes in the film. It is said that Big B has even given some of his dates in February to the director. With the Bachchan senior having one plan and the director of the film having another we are unaware as to how long this project will stall. Sarkar Raj is a sequel of the earlier released 'Sarkar' which will see Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead roles. Now this film seems like one family affair doesn't it?

'Sarkar' completes shooting

Shooting of 'Sarkar' directed by Phani Raj and produced by K Venkateswara Rao on the banner of Shantipriya Productions with Nagababu and Ramyakrishna in the lead was completed recently. Director Phani Raj says, 'It is a suspense, horror and thriller movie. Nagababu is playing the role of a psycho analyst while Ramyakrishna is playing his wife. Her character is quite typical. She gets the audiences' eyes wet and at the same time make them afraid of her. Likewise, Suhasini of 'Chantigadu'-fame also played a very good role as 'Maya'. We are sure that the film would earn a good name to her.' Executive producer Rama Satyanarayana says, 'We will complete the DTS and other such post-production works soon and release the film in the first week of June.' The film is being made with an inspiration from a Hollywood film 'Sixth Sense'. Vijayanand, Annapurna, Ramireddy, Sivaji Raja and others are in the cast.

The producer says, 'Our film is based on a Hollywood film 'Sixth Sense'. Nagababu is playing the role of a psychiatrist in this film. There is a happy couple and the wife gets murdered in unexpected turn of events. She turns a ghost. How and on whom she took revenge for her killing and how she took the help of her close relatives is the basic theme of the movie. Ramyakrishna played the role of ghost in the movie. Pradeep Sarkar directs Palash Sen

Parineeta director Pradeep Sarkar continues to be a busy man. While work on his new film has still to begun, he continues to make his presence felt in the showbiz world with directing advertisements and music videos. The latest music video to hit the screens is for the music album 'Mehfuz' from the band Euphoria. The song on air is the title song 'Mehfuz', a sensitive number about love and separation that has been picturised on Palash Sen. Class, just as in case of 'Parineeta', is pretty evident in this beautifully shot number too, that has come a little late in the day as the album finds itself slipping a little in the charts. Hope this number is promoted well and brings the album all the popularity it richly deserves.
