More news →'Sarkar' completes shooting
Shooting of 'Sarkar' directed by Phani Raj and produced by K Venkateswara Rao on the banner of Shantipriya Productions with Nagababu and Ramyakrishna in the lead was completed recently. Director Phani Raj says, 'It is a suspense, horror and thriller movie. Nagababu is playing the role of a psycho analyst while Ramyakrishna is playing his wife. Her character is quite typical. She gets the audiences' eyes wet and at the same time make them afraid of her. Likewise, Suhasini of 'Chantigadu'-fame also played a very good role as 'Maya'. We are sure that the film would earn a good name to her.' Executive producer Rama Satyanarayana says, 'We will complete the DTS and other such post-production works soon and release the film in the first week of June.' The film is being made with an inspiration from a Hollywood film 'Sixth Sense'. Vijayanand, Annapurna, Ramireddy, Sivaji Raja and others are in the cast.
'Sarkar' busy in post-production
Post-production works are nearing completion for 'Sarkar' directed by Phaniraj, and produced by K Venkateswara Rao on the banner of Santipriya Productions with Vijayanand and Suhasini as hero and heroine, and with Nagababu and Ramyakrishna playing key roles. The producer says, 'Our film is based on a Hollywood film 'Sixth Sense'. Nagababu is playing the role of a psychiatrist in this film. There is a happy couple and the wife gets murdered in unexpected turn of events. She turns a ghost. How and on whom she took revenge for her killing and how she took the help of her close relatives is the basic theme of the movie. Ramyakrishna played the role of ghost in the movie. Veenapani and Arjun scored the music. Re-recording would remain a highlight as the film is of thriller genre. We are making efforts to release the film in July.'
RGV exposes Vijay Mallya in Sarkar 3
Ram Gopal Varma is always attracted to anti-social elements, fraudsters & sex. We get to see these elements in most of his movies and he survives on controversies. Recently, RGV shared the looks of 'Sarkar 3' lead cast. Amitabh Bachchan will be doing the character of Subhash Nagre and his looks remains more or less similar to the previous two installments. Its the get-up of Jackie Shroff that aroused curiosity among the movie buffs as it reminds us of Liquor Baron Vijay Mallya. Even the screen name 'Michael Vallya' makes us believe so. Jackie Shroff is reprising the role of a guy who once had been part of Underworld settles down as a Businessman in London. He is one of the main antagonists in the movie. We have to wait and see how Ramu designs the character. Yami Gautam, Manoj Bajpayee and Amit Sadh have been doing crucial roles in 'Sarkar 3'.
After 'Thulasi', its 'Sarkar' for Ramyakrishna
Ramyakrishna who said she was really not considering mainstream acting roles only recently, seems to have finally given in to temptation. She was last seen in a teeny-weeny role in 'Thulasi' as Venky's doctor-friend. But that she insisted was a friendly gesture for Ramanaidu and Venkatesh. It was television programming that excited her now, she said. Now, she will be playing the lead opposite Naga Babu in his forthcoming flick 'Sarkar'. We hear she has been wooed with an irresistible role. The film is being directed by Phani Raj and produced by KV Rao.
Allu Arjun, Pradeep Sarkar collaborate for music video
Telugu star Allu Arjun and "Mardaani" director Pradeep Sarkar have come together for a music video called "Taazgi ka dhamaka" for a toothpaste brand Colgate MaxFresh. The track has been conceptualised keeping in mind the target audience's love for music and dance. Singer Anushka Manchanda has lent her voice for the song. "The brand is all about energising freshness. This year, I had an interesting time as a brand ambassador for Colgate MaxFresh. The music video is something unique for the brand, where I had fun shooting with Anushka and exceptional filmmaker Pradeep," Arjun said in a statement. The video is vibrant and fresh, featuring a mix of catchy Marathi, Hindi and Telugu lyrics with two-state wedding as a set up. On directing the video, Sarkar said: "The music first featured in a TVC with a similar backdrop and the music in it was an instant hit among the consumers. So, we decided to extend it into an entire music video. Arjun delivers a visual treat with his dancing, while Anushka lends her powerful vocals". Colgate has also launched a consumer engagement contest called "Show Me Your MaxFresh Move", which invites the youth to participate, showcase their fresh dance moves with a Colgate MaxFresh pack and stand a chance to win a high-end tablet every day.
Sardar Chinnapa Reddy shooting in brisk pace
The shooting of 'Sardar Chinnapa Reddy', presented by Mahbubnagar MP, AP Jitender Reddy and produced by Satya on the banner of Pavan Mani Creations is going on at a brisk pace. The film is based on real life incidents and the producer had donated clothes, food to a total of 10,000 people as part of the reel life which remained a reality in the real life as well. Bullock cart races were also held really as part of the shooting. These incidents would remain a highlight in the film, says the producer. Saikiran and Seema are playing the lead in the film, while Anurag is providing music. SS Reddy is the executive director for the film.
