'State Rowdy' in post-production

The shooting of 'State Rowdy' (Veedikantha Scene Ledu) directed by Vikram Gandhi and produced by Kattekota Srinivas and JV Umamaheswara Rao on the banner of Galaxy Multimedia with Sivaji as hero, Madhushalini and Mallikakapoor as heroines was completed recently. Presently post-production works are in progress. The film is being made as a total entertainer and the film has all the elements that could attract not only the mass audiences but also the family circles. MM Srilekha scored melodious tunes for the flick. It is the remake of a successful Tamil film 'Yediri'. However, in the Telugu version, comedy was given preference than the action part. Chandramohan, Venumadhav, MS Narayana, Krishna Bhagawan, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, Jeeva, Lakshmipati, Subbaraju, Ramireddy, Kadambari Kiran, Gundu Sudarshan, Santosh Pawan, Chitram Sreenu, Hema, Rajitha and others are in the cast. Camera is by Vasu, action is by Ram-Lakshman.

'State Rowdy' completes shooting

The shooting of 'State Rowdy' with a tagline 'Veediki Anta Scene Ledu' directed by Vikram Gandhi and jointly produced by Kattekola Srinivas and JV Uma Maheswara Rao on the banner of Galaxy Multimedia with Sivaji as hero and Mallika Kapoor as heroine was completed recently. Presently dubbing work is in progress. The audio of the film would be launched in a week's time through a popular music company. The film, which is being made as a total entertainer, has several other elements that could attract not only mass audiences, but also the family audiences. MM Srilekha scored music for the movie. In fact, the film is the remake of a successful Tamil film 'Yediri'. There are five songs in the movie. Of them two were choreographed in Araku Valley, two others were shot in specially erected sets and one song was canned at various locales of Hyderabad. Camera is by B Vasu, action is by Ram-Lakshman, while story is by Kamalesh.

'State Rowdy' ready for release in Oct

Shooting and post-production formalities were complete for 'State Rowdy' (Veedikantha Scene Ledu) directed by Vikram Gandhi and produced by Kattekola Srinivas and JV Umamaheswara Rao on the banner of Galaxy Media with Sivaji, Mallika Kapoor and Madhushalini in the lead. The first copy of the film is also ready. MM Srilekha scored music for the movie. Producers say, 'There is a very good response to the audio which was released into the market recently. We are making efforts to release the film in the first week of October.' It is worth mentioning here that 'State Rowdy' with Padma Bhushan, Mega Star, Dr Chiranjeevi in the lead was released some time ago and it was a blockbuster during those days.

State award for Periyar

Even before Sathyaraj's Periyar is released, the actor has started to attract the attention of the rationalists in the State. Sathyaraj has been chosen for the annual 'Periyar' award to be presented the by the Tamil Nadu government as part of their efforts to propagate rationalist ideas among the masses. The award which carries Rs one lakh cash and a gold chain would be presented to Sathyaraj on 27 January at Kalaivanar Arangam, Chennai, by Chief Minister M Karunanidhi. The award is being presented to Sathyaraj for accepting to do the role of Periyar without getting remuneration.
