By Manissha Despaande, Mumbai: Sawan Kumar's "Saaawan - The Love Season", which has Salman Khan in the lead, has been awarded a 'U' certificate without any cuts. According to Sawan, the examining committee members that viewed the film March 30, liked the film immensely and immediately gave it a go-ahead. "They commented that they had not seen such a cleanly made film with similar intensity - minus any show of vulgarity - for a long time. They also liked Salman's performance in it," he said. Apart from a few films, all his films have been awarded 'U' certificates, Sawan added. The film is being released April 6 with 400 prints globally, with over 100 prints in Mumbai alone. He said exhibitors were eagerly looking forward to the film's release as all Salman-starrers get a great opening.
Rakhi Sawant turns into a 'Night Bird'
Rakhi Sawant continues to be in news, if not for the controversies then the work she is actually doing in front of the camera. Now she would be seen on the small screen for at least a few more weeks to come in her brand new music video for the album 'Night Birds - Tu Dassda' where she plays the part of a nurse. As expected, the camera is stuck on her for the entire duration of the song with not a single frame missing her! What is noticeable though is that unlike her dare-bare videos in the past, this one has her decently covered [strictly as per the standards set by her] with no hint of vulgarity. Having said that, one also has to admit that the music video isn't half as exciting as the ones in which Rakhi has featured in the past, though this has nothing to do really with the lack of skin show. With not much 'dum' in the 5 minutes song that plays, this music video may turn out to be one of those rare non-successes for Rakhi, both on and off the screen!
Vishram Sawant, Randeep Hooda and Vinod Khanna take a 'Risk'
After working together in 'D', director Vishram Sawant and actor Randeep Hooda are back together with a film that has been interestingly titled 'RISK'! Setting the misconception right, the film doesn't come from Ram Gopal Verma's Factory and in fact is an independent film from the production house Risk Design & Advertising Ltd. In the film Randeep Hooda plays a righteous and a no-nonsense cop. While Hooda-Vishram combo itself makes the film interesting, what could be the prime attraction of the film is Vinod Khanna's association with the project. In 'Risk', Vinod Khanna plays the main villain and appears in a new getup and attire. The last time he played a villain was 5 years back for Ashu Trikha directed 'Deewanapan' that had Arjun Rampal and Dia Mirza in the lead.
Rakhi Sawants Champagne Bath
Rakhi Sawant, the controversy hungry item girl, has done a item song in the film 'Khaffa' which is due for a December release. The song is called 'Sera Sera' which is shot at the hip-n-happening discotheque velocity. The sequence demanded Champagne to be poured over her. And considering the producer Hema Handa in her quest for authenticity, insisted on using actual Champagne. Loads of Champagne bottles were ordered and considering Rakhi's penchant for doing the unthinkable, she did have a champagne bath. Now, this babe talks about women's rights and stuff like that and how the whole world is after her'And next you hear her doing all sorts of provocative things just to titillate the front benchers. Well, what can we say'.Some people will do anything to be famous'Good luck girl'Is all we can say'
