Seedan director Subramaniam Siva is all set to start his next film. He earlier made films like Thiruda Thiruda and Yogi which turned out to be successful. Now by taking no break after Seedan, he is going to make his next film which is going to be a complete different film. The director says “The film will be on the script which is never touched in Tamil cinema and I will be making the details official once Seedan hits the silver screens.” I extremely thank Dhanush for his acceptance of doing a cameo role in the film. Dhanush will be seen post interval session for 40 minutes and his support was great. I once again express my gratitude to Dhanush.”
Seeman looking ahead
Director Seeman is all set for his next project to be produced by Bala, for which he will be starting the story discussion soon. 'Every project is a new beginning and indeed this one with Bala will be special. I will make sure that the theme differs from my previous film to give variety to the fans. As always story will be the key,' he says. On his Thambi, the director says, 'It was different from the beaten track and the success of the movie has given me more confidence to continue with my own style of filmmaking.' The director cites the failure of his earlier films Iniyavale and Veeranadai to be the major reason for actors declining his offer when he approached them for Thambi. 'A movie fails not just because of the story. Other factors too contribute to it. It is natural that actors don't prefer a director whose films have not done well at the box-office. After Thambi's success I think things have changed,' Seeman says.
Seeman has his hands full
After tasting success in his last directorial venture Thambi, director Seeman is all set to commence his new movie soon. Talking about his forthcoming movie, Seeman, said, 'The movie has been titled Pagalavan. It would hit the floors soon. Quite like Thambi, this movie would have a strong social message. It's a movie with a purpose'. Asked about his acting stint in Jeeva starrer Pori, Seeman said, 'I play a guest role. Director Subramaniam Siva is a good friend of mine. He urged me to play the guest role, which I obliged. However directing movies is my priority. Acting is just a past-time hobby'. Rumors are abuzz that Seeman has approached Suriya to play the lead role in Pagalavan. Meanwhile, Seeman is also assigned to direct a movie for director Cheran's home production early next year.
Seemans philosophy behind acting
Amidst directors who venture to acting as a career option, director Seeman is different. He is currently acting in a couple of films including Thangar Bachchan's Pallikoodam. Says Seeman, 'I act only for my friends. Director Subramaniam Siva was my close friend and he called me personally to act in Pori. I immediately obliged. So was the case in Pallikoodam. My passion is always to direct movies. Soon I would commence Vazhthukal starring Madhavan and Bhavana.' 'Madhavan also assists in penning dialogues for Evano Oruvan. The movie starring Madhavan is a remake of Marathi film Dombivili Fast. We developed a great affinity while working together in Thambi,' he adds.
Seeman speaks on 'Vazhthukkal'
Seeman, who is busy shaping Madhavan starrer 'Vazhthukkal', is also getting ready for his next movie. He has tentatively named his next project as 'Samaran'. However, nothing about the movie has been finalized yet. Speaking about Vazhthukkal, Seeman says, 'The film is about some beautiful episodes in anyone's young age, which is always remembered throughout their life. It speaks volumes on those pampered moments and evergreen memories'. Meanwhile, Seeman has assisted Madhavan in writing dialogues in the actor's first production venture Evano Oruvan. Apart from releasing the movie worldwide, Madhavan has penned the dialogues for the first time for Evano Oruvan.
Seemans war cry
We have seen many film personalities raising voice against social evils in the movies. But most of them remain silent spectators when it comes to fight the injustice in real life. Seeman seems to be an exception to this general rule. He is known for dealing social issues in his films with righteous anger and he does the same in his real life too. Seeman is determined to swing into action to save the 200 acre canal that provides water for his homeland Aranaiyur, located nearby Ilayanguudi. Since sewage water is mixed in the canal, it becomes hazardous to the health of the people and hence Seeman is gearing up to save the canal. 'I will be the first person to enter the battle field if my home land encounters any danger. First I will explain the problem to our CM. If there is no action, I will gather the people to fight against the pollution', says the director. Will Seeman's rage fetch the results?
