'KBL' rains offers for Swetha Prasad
At the age of 7, Swetha Prasad was introduced to small screen, and was well recognized as a child artist through Ektha Kapoors Serial 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii'. Her first big screen appearance was as Chunni and Munni in 'Makdee' (2002). 'Iqbal' (2005) was another feather in her cap directed by Nagesh Kukunoor and produced by Subhash Ghai. She has won many accolades as a child artiste. She debuted as a heroine in Tollywood with 'Kotha Bangaru Lokam' on Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, produced by 'Dil'Raju. In the role of Swapna, she exhibited an altogether varied style of dialogue delivery, and attracted the audiences with her ease in acting. The actress when enquired about her performance says, 'I am a spontaneous actress and my acting is purely based on my instincts. I usually visually myself in the place of my character and feel the emotions literally.' She was also appreciated by the seniors in the industry, and offers are pouring in for this graceful actress. However, Swetha is presently focusing on her career in Bollywood. If the script, character and the production are appealing she might give a nod to another Telugu film. After KBL, spectators expect to see one more Swapna on screen and Swetha Prasad might restate it as soon as she finds her cup of tea.
Divya to play Seetha
Divya Spandana has bagged a plump offer now. She has been assigned to do a project with cinematographer-cum-director Rajeev Menon. Rajeev Menon, considered one of the country's finest cinematographers, had churned out blockbusters like 'Minsara Kanavu' and 'Kandu Kondein'. He had been part of several Manirathinam films cranking the camera. Now Rajeev Menon is on a different mission. He would be churning out a short film in the company of the students studying in his film institute. It would feature Divya Spandana and Revathy together. Titled 'Seetha', it would have a path-breaking theme. An elated Divya says she is very fortunate to be part of Rajeev Menon venture. "I am one of his greatest admirers and am eager to start the project".
Swetha: studies first
Swetha, who made everyone sit up and watch her through her performance in 'Valluvan Vasuki' is on cloud nine. The reason is not the result of the movie. Most of the reviews say she looks like Kushboo in 'Chinna Thambi'! Swetha is now studying B. Tech in BMR College near Chennai. As of now her top priority is not films but studies. Though many producers have approached her after watching the movie, she hasn't accepted any offer. She says to them that she could act during holidays alone. The new heroine has been requesting those who approach her offering a role to wait for two years. By then she would finish the course and are become full time actress.
