MusicMazaa reported yesterday about Yash Chopra's 'Dhoom 2' set to upstage Shahrukh's 'Don' because of the 'differences' between the two Bollyood bigwigs. Continuing in the same vein, is another Breaking News: Aditya Chopra, the man with the midas touch who has given two of the biggest hits 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' and 'Mohabbatein' (Both starring SRK) has decided to cast Abhishek Bachchan in his next directorial venture. Rani Mukherjee, in all probability will be the female lead. It is very clear that Yash Chopra camp wish to give a very clear message to Shahrukh Khan that nobody is indispensable. It is being said that Yash Chopra is incensed with SRK for his 'silent' opposition of Amitabh Bachchan and that's why son Abhishek is being cast in Adi's film. Chopra Senior had strongly defended Shahrukh when Sunny Deol was angry about being shortchanged in 'Darr'. And since that Hit, SRK has featured in all their films, be it 'DDLJ', 'Dil To Pagal Hai', 'Mohabbatein' and 'Veer Zaara'. With the ten year bond coming apart, Chopras are bonding with Deols once again by signing Bobby Deol for Shaad Ali's 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom'. Maybe it's their way of burying the hatchet. With Bollywood riding on the recent successes, it's also time for some big-time-animosities. And inflated balloons of ego being burst by 'mutual compromise'. The next move will be from the depleted SRK camp. MusicMazaa will be the first to report it to all our loyal patrons the world over.
Shahrukh Is a Cripple
The eternal loverboy Shahrukh Khan has been crippled. Don't get me wrong, and please control your heart if it is shattered, but the news is true. If only fictitiously. Gotcha! Right'Well, the rumour has now been confirmed. SRK has a slight cripple in one of his legs in KJ's 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna'. It's not as if he always had the ailment. He went through this trough in life after having played his share of football and basketball, a la 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'. An accident gives him a limp-in-the-leg. And he gets crippled in the mind owing to this setback. It would be interesting to watch SRK in a role where he is made out to be a bit of a weakling. With due respect to all the critics (Me included) one should stop pestering Shahrukh with this allegation that 'Hey he does the same thing again and again. There's no variety. He can't go out of his comfort level of a Raj or Rahul.' What no one should forget is that each time SRK gets on the screen; he is a dynamite of energy. There's something that is magnetic about him that pulls people to the big screen and spend millions to watch him woo his heroines. I guess it's a seasonal thing where as people say good things about one and not so good things about others. But I am not guessing when I say that SRK season is about to begin. And it will last the year end for sure.
Shahrukh Khan Causes a Stampede in Mumbai
Shahrukh Khan is a superstar. In every sense of the word. He is also a People's person. For he loves them. Unconditionally. This is what was evident today at a nondescript Gokuldham Society in Mumbai where SRK wowed the crowds varying from kids, jumping-on-chairs middle aged pot bellied ladies and men sitting in their kitchen windows as if watching an engrossing cricket match. The occasion was to promote 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' which is kick-starting today at 9. Now, the choice of venue may be a little odd. But the purpose was fulfilled. 100%. For the media was present in full force. And in a bid to get that elusive picture of the superstar, they left no stone unturned in getting as close to him as possible. Even if it involved getting on someone's toes or even slapping the channel officials present (yes, a lady anchor from one of top Hindi news channels actually slapped a girl from Star TV who tried to stop her from going beyond a certain point due to security concerns). Shahrukh Khan, unaware to this ugly scenario, regaled the hungry fans in his characteristic style. A child squealed to his friend, 'I can't believe I am watching Shahrukh Khan with my own eyes.' And this was true for everyone present. SRK bowed before his fans, thanked them, urged them to watch KBC from today and pardon him if they don't like something. 'I want your love till the time I am doing this show and till the time I'm doing films,' he said. He even climbed the chair so that more people can see him. Clearly. The performer in him made sure that he made eye contact with his fans in all directions, even the ones who were behind his back and watching him from their rooftops. MusicMazaa was there to catch all the action. So, do check out the video 'Shahrukh causes stampede' that we are bringing for you today itself. Mumbai is a city filled with celebrities. Generally people don't bother when they come across a star walking on a Juhu Beach on a normal evening. But, there's absolutely no doubt that SRK is different. And words are not enough to say it all. You've gotta check it out for yourself'..And find out why this Khan'.Rocks'.
Shahrukh Mirza is no more
Shahrukh Mirza, acclaimed filmmaker and father of budding actor Rehan Khan (Jaana-Let's Fall In Love, Awarapan) is no more. He was 60. He passed away yesterday night after a suffering a fatal heart attack. "He was hale and hearty till a day back but it seems God wanted him more than his. Please pray for him", said Rehan Khan while trying hard to regain his composure after the tragedy. Sharukh Mirza shot to fame when he wrote Amitabh Bachchan starrer 'Kasme Vaade'. Later, he was also behind numerous projects like 'Misaal', 'Sitamgar', 'Raama O Raama', 'Mashooq', 'Yaara Dildaara', 'Salaami', 'Sanjay', 'Ek Tha Dil Ek Thi Dhadkan' and most recently Rehan's launch pad 'Jaana-Let's Fall In Love'. Before his sudden demise, he was also planning a biggie with Rehan and was looking at Amitabh Bachchan to play the central protagonist.
Shahrukh, Deepika, Gauri and a starry evening
It was a starry Saturday at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai, where the T20 international cricket match was held in the evening. No, it wasn't the presence of Indian and Australian cricket stars that made the difference; it was the glam-n-glitz presence of King Khan and many more which ensured that the spotlights were not just on the likes of Dhoni, Yuvraj and Ponting. While Shahrukh Khan watched the entire match from the VIP stands, he was also accompanied by his OM SHANTI OM co-star Deepika Padukone along with wife Gauri Khan. Though the India-Pakistan Finals in South Africa last month had seen in cheering aloud from the stands, at Mumbai he was content waving at his fans everytime the camera focused on him and beamed the images at the big screen. Apart from Shahrukh, Gauri and Deepika, even Suneil Shetty, an avid cricket follower, is said to have stepped into the stadium to see the match. Other VIPs who enjoyed the match along with Bollywood celebrities were Rahul Gandhi and his brother-in-law Robert Vadra.
Shahrukh - Bollywoods 'Item' boy
Superstar Shahrukh Khan is back with yet another item number. Shahrukh faces the camera for the very first time this year for Krazzy 4. Shahrukh will be seen doing a so called 'item number' in the Arshad Warsi-Irrfan Khan starrer. The film produced by Rajesh Roshan and directed by debutant Raja Sen will have SRK in a dance number composed by Rajesh Roshan and sung by Vishal Dadlani of the Vishal-Shekar fame. The item number will not have SRK grooving the Dard-E-Disco way flaunting his six pack but it's surely going to be a visual treat. SRK apparently hasn't charged a single penny for his performance. Hrithik Roshan plays a small part in the film but the questions remains whether the audiences will see Hrithik doing an item number or doing one of those clich© cameos.
