Cinema is not just a source of entertainment. It also has some social responsibility. It is Shankar who started giving a good message to the society with a sense of responsibility. His films like 'Gentleman, Premikudu, Bharatiyudu, Jeans, Okey Okkadu and Aparichitudu' ' each of them prove this. This creative genius had penned his own chapter in the history of film industry. After directing some good films with a different taste, he turned a producer and bringing out the talent among others. His first film as producer 'Kadhal' is a beautiful love story. The film was dubbed into Telugu as 'Premiste' and proved a big hit. His second film in Tamil 'Pulikesi' also became a big success. Now he did the third film called 'Veyil'. As everyone knows, Shankar's film will have two angles. One is message and the other is entertainment. This film is being dubbed into Telugu now and several people vied for the dubbing rights. However, it is the SP Creations which had bagged the rights and is presenting the film in Telugu. Directed by Vasantha Balan with Bharat and Bhavana in the lead, the film would be released with Shankar as presenter and Nukarapu Surya Prakasa Rao as the producer on the banner of SP Creations. The dubbing activities of the film would begin in the third week of October. Producer Surya Prakasa Rao says, 'I feel very lucky for bagging the rights of 'Veyil' produced by a great director like Shankar in Tamil. We are yet to finalize the title for the film. We will release the audio by the end of October and the film in the second week of November. Screamers who penned dialogues for several hit films and who had achieved a hat-trick by writing dialogues for three hit films last year such as 'Chandramukhi, Aparichitudu and Premiste' is busy in giving dialogues for the film. The 19-year-old GV Prakash Kumar, the nephew of AR Rehman gave fantastic music for this film and it created ripples in the audio world in Tamil. We are quite confident the audio as well as the film would also attract the Telugu audiences.'
'Shankar' in final touches
Post-production works are nearing completion for 'Shankar' directed by Madhu and produced by Chadalavada Padmavathi with Sashikant and Manasa in the lead. Producer Padmavathi said, 'Our film is an action-oriented movie. The hero of the film is a representative of the present generation youth. His aim is a suspense and it has to be watched on the screen. The tunes provided by Vandemataram Srinivas would be a highlight. We are planning to release the film on December 8.' Rahul Dev, Ali, MS Narayana and others are in the cast.
'Shankar Dada Zindabad' hikes craze among buyers
Mega Star, Padma Bhushan, Dr Chiranjeevi, who gave an excellent performance in 'Shankar Dada MBBS' is now playing in 'Shankar Dada Zindabad' which is coming as a sequel to it, under the direction of Poetic Director Prabhudeva, who gave a big hit like 'Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana' and produced by Gemini Film Circuits. It is the remake of successful Bollywood film 'Lage Raho Munnabhai'. Noted hero Srikanth again playing the buddy of the hero in this film in the character of 'Circuits'. Power Star Pawan Kalyan would also appear in the film in an important role, while Devisri Prasad is providing tunes for this movie. As so many sensational personalities are working together for this film, the movie had created a craze among the trade circles. It in fact created a sensation. It is reliably learnt that several buyers are coming forward for the distribution rights with blank cheques.
'Shankar Dada Zindabad' shoots in Art Gallery
The shooting of 'Shankar Dada Zindabad', the remake of Bollywood hit 'Lage Raho Munnabhai'' which has come as a sequel to 'Munnabhai MBBS' was formally launched at Annapurna Studios under the direction of poetic director Prabhudeva. The film is again made by Ravishankar Prasad and Gemini Kiran, who had brought in 'Shankar Dada MBBS' earlier on the banner of Gemini Film Circuits. The regular shooting of the film was started on February 15 at City Library. Now the unit shifted to 'Art Gallery' and continued its shooting. It is learnt that Dilip Prabhawalkar, who played the role of Gandhi Mahatma, is again playing the same role in Telugu. Devisri Prasad is providing tunes for this movie.
'Shankar Dada Zindabad' for release in June
It is media which highlights anything good or bad. Of the media, 'cinema' is a little more powerful medium. In addition to providing good entertainment, the cinema should also be utilised for giving a very good message to the society. It is also a quite powerful medium to spread the message and there would be a definite change in people if it was passed properly. Mega Star, Padma Bhushan, Dr Chiranjeevi, who gave many good messages through his films like Indra, Shankar Dada MBBS, Tagore and Stalin' earlier, is now all set to extend another good message through his latest flick 'Shankar Dada Zindabad', i.e., Gandhism is better than goondaism. The shooting of the film is going on a brisk pace under the direction of poetic director Prabhudeva which was produced by Gemini Film Circuits. Devisri Prasad is providing tunes for this movie. The producers are making efforts to release the film in June. However, the heroine in this film is yet to be selected. The names of Nayanatara and Asin are under consideration. However, Sada has been selected for a special role in this movie.
'Shankar Dada' in search of a heroine
It is well aware that the successful Bollywood film 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' is being remade in Telugu as 'Shankar Dada Zindabad', as a sequel to the hit film 'Shankar Dada MBBS' by the Gemini Film Circuits. The regular shooting of the film is also in brisk progress in Hyderabad. At the same time, the producer and director are vigorously in search of a cute face for the heroine. First, they tried to rope in Vidyabalan, who played heroine in the original Hindi version but failed to book her. Now, the names of Nayanatara and Asin are under consideration for the movie. However, the suspense is still continuing on who would pair up opposite the Mega Star Chiranjeevi. The second schedule of the film was slated from March 28. Devisri Prasad is providing music for the flick while Prabhudeva is wielding the megaphone.
