More news →Pawan Kalyan's film shoots at Shankarpally
The shooting of a film directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by Allu Aravind on the banner of 'Gita Arts' with Power Star Pawan Kalyan as hero and Ileana as heroine is progressing well. Presently some action scenes are being shot on Pawan Kalyan at Kakapet and its surrounding areas near Shankarpally from May 6, under the action choreography of Vijay Master. The current schedule would continue till July 30 without any break. It has been decided to almost complete the talkie part during this schedule. Scenes involving Ileana would be shot in June. Devisri Prasad is scoring tunes for the movie, while it is being made as a family entertainer. KV Guhan is handling the cinematography, while Trivikram Srinivas had scripted punching dialogues to suit Power Star's image. It is learnt that the film had a novel point in it and is slated for release as Dasara gift.
Shankarabaharanam Shooting started!
Nikhil and Nanditha Raj pairing up for the first time in 'Shankarabharanam'. Tipped to be a crime comedy, Shankarabharanam has hit floors on Monday morning in North India. Apparently makers of Nikhil's Shankarabharanam released first look teaser poster. “From the Streets of New York to the Gangs of Bihar... A wild journey of his life!!”, posted writer turned producer Kona venkat. Uday Nandanavanam is directing Shankarabharanam under MVV Cinemas banner. Story, screenplay, direction by Kona Venkat. Two Shankaracharyas to work against Modi in Varanasi
Two Shankaracharyas have come out openly against Narendra Modi and decided to work for his defeat in Varanasi as they believe he is a "sinner" in the 2002 Gujarat riots. Puri Shankaracharya Swami Adhokshjanand Devtirath today said he will go to Varanasi and campaign against the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate for the 2 elections. "I will go to Varanasi and expose him. Those who divide people to come to power should be exposed," he said. He said Modi has committed "sins" and no justice-loving person can ever "like" him. Modi is pitted against AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal and Congress candidate Ajai Rai in the holy city. The Shankaracharya said he had himself gone to Gujarat and witnessed the situation after the 2002 riots. He charged RSS with using religion to "mislead" the people. He said it should come to the fore as a political organisation rather than a social-cultural body. The Shankaracharya said BJP leaders were already issuing statements which were creating tension in the country. He said he would not campaign for any particular party but just wanted that secular parties should win. Dwarka Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand is also opposed to Modi and will be deputing his close associate Swami Avi Mukteswaranand to Varanasi to campaign against Modi, sources close to him said. They said he himself cannot travel to Varanasi because of his poor health. Swaroopanand had recently protested against 'Har Har Modi' slogan, saying it amounted to "worship" of a man and "god will stop Modi" if it was not stopped. Sensing a religious controversy, Modi had immediately asked his supporters to refrain from raising such slogans.
Nara Rohith-Regina Cassandra's 'Shankara's release date
'Shankara', the Nara Rohith-Regina Cassandra starrer is an action thriller directed by Tatineni Sathya Prakash of 'Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu' and 'SMS' fame.In a month full of festival releases, the film will hit the screens on Oct 21.The movie tells the story of a youngster who reacts to the wrongs around him. When he is put in a hostel, he gets embroiled in a crime not of his making. The film was completed two years ago, but could not see the light of the day.An action thriller, the movie has John Vijay of ‘Kabali’ fame, Rajeev Kanakala, Rajeshwari Nayar and others in important roles. Produced by RV Chandramouli Prasad and MV Rau under Sai Leela Movies, it has music by Sai Karthik. Cinematography is by Surendar Reddy. Editing is by Kotagiri Venkateshwar Rao.Producer RV Chandramouli says, "The hero doesn't like the loopholes of the society. He tries to rebel against them. In the process, he faces many obstacles and his mother and brother become his support systems during the phase."
