Shraddha Srinath of Kannada U Turn fame is currently working in debutant Gautham Ramachandran’s film with Nivin Pauly and she is also making a pivotal cameo appearance in Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai. Meanwhile, certain sections of the media had reported that she would be doing the female lead in director Kannan-Gautham Karthik’s film that went on floors a couple of days ago. It has to be recalled that Kannan had taken his direction lessons from Mani Ratnam However, reliable sources tell us that although both Kannan and Shraddha are keen to work together, the actress is yet to hear the complete narration of the script. Apparently she had just heard the brief of the story. Around next week, Shraddha is expected to meet the director when the details would be finalized. Stay tuned and we would update you.
Shraddha Srinath to dub in Tamil
Kannada actress Shradddha Srinath is all set to do what many actresses are reluctant to try. She will try her hands on dubbing for her upcoming film with Nivin Pauly. Malayalam star Nivin Pauly, who has become a household name after the super hit Premam, is currently shooting for his second Tamil venture. The film is directed by Mysskin's assistant Gautham and will be a remake of Kannada hit Ulidavaru Kandanthe. Sandalwood girl Shraddha plays the role of an investigative journalist in this thriller.

One of the senior talented actors of Kannada cinema of over three decades the ever happy looking Prayanaraja Srinath in consultation with his wife Geetha has decided to transfer the crown 'Pranayaraja' (King of lover boy roles) he had earned in 1976 to golden star Ganesh in a grand function on the new year Yugadhi day in Bangalore. I am no more 'Pranayaraja' of Kannada screen. So I am crowning this to the current king of lover boy roles golden star Ganesh said Srinath the sitting MLC of BJP when he had come to Golden star Ganesh wedding reception at Golden Palm on Sunday evening. Another long standing announcement of our respected actor Srinath at the same function of handing over of his crown 'Pranayaraja' to Golden star Ganesh is his ambition to direct a Kannada cinema. Srinath has finalized on two scripts and his new assignment as director will be a tribute to his mentor doyen of Kannada cinema S.R.Puttanna Kanagal. Srinath as a matter of fact wanted to take up direction in the beginning of this year. But the state assembly elections supposed to take place in May 2008 made him to defer the direction. Now the elections are likely to be held in November the way is cleared for Srinath to take up his maiden direction. His close friends are producing the film he is directing.
