Sindhu Menon back in Kannada

Making it big in small and big screen in Malayalam language and Telugu films the charming Sindhu Menon the native of Bangalore is back in action in a Kannada film 'Yaare Nee Hudugi' after two years gap. Anirudh is playing lead opposite Sindhu Menon in this film. The last Kannada film Sindhu acted was 'Jyeshta'. Looking thin and making it big in career Sindhu has so far acted in 13 Malayalam, 8 Kannada and 6 Tamil films. The television serial 'Sriman Srimathi' and 'Stree Hrudayam' have given her a very good position in small screen too. I was in to TV production and hectic work given me tension. I could not concentrate on my personality agreed Sindhu Menon speaking to media friends from Bangalore. Her latest release in Telugu 'Chandamama' has been a huge hit in Andhra Pradesh. She is learning bharatanatyam, ballet and continuing her studies by correspondence. What is she up to conquer? The No.1 position in more than one language as an actress says Sindhu Menon.

Sidhu In 'House Full'

The former cricketer of India the racy commentator, anchor and comedy shows judge known as 'Sixer Sidhu' alias Navjoth Singh Sidhu has given acceptance to work for one day to Kannada film 'House Full' that is produced by Maverick production Mumbai in the direction of Hemanth Hegde. Sidhuji will appear in his existing profile and speaking a few lines in Kannada says Hemanth Hegde. Another notable feat of 'House Full' Kannada film starring Diganth, Gauri Oak and Vishaka Singh Chauhan is that the world famous Charlie Chaplin statue of 60 feet will be erected in the beach side of Mangalore by art director Chetan. Using the mix media technique the 60 feet statue of Charlie Chaplin art director Chetan is using the stunts of CAVA institute and Mangalore Art College. The 60 feet height of Charlie Chaplin statue for the first time in the world and I am applying for the Guinness Book of World Records says Hemanth Hegde. 'House Full' has completed 18 days shoot in Bangalore, Mysore and Jungle Park in Ramanagarar (Near 'Sholay' Hill) and leaving for Goa and Sikkim for remaining portion of shoot and in October end the statue of Chaplin on the beach side of Mangalore will be ready. Girija Oak the Marathi stage artists who had acted in 'Tare Zamin Par' is making her first appearance in Kannada. Vishaka Singh Chauhan of Hindi film 'Hamse Jahan' 'Coffee Shop' with Gnanapeeth award winning Girish Karnad, Pidichirrku' (Tamil) and Gnapakam (Telugu) feels extremely happy on her first Kannada assignment.

Sindhu looks for survival

Sindhu Tholani, who is eyeing a re-entry in Tamil cinema after the debacle of her maiden venture Sullan opposite Dhanush about a year ago, has been cast as the heroine in a movie titled Aachiryam. Her efforts to stay afloat in Tamil by taking to negative roles and item-numbers did not yield fruits as a result of which she even ventured to Tollywood. Now she is back with Aachiryam. The movie features Munna in the lead role. Munna had acted in movies including Pallavan and Jananam before. A busy actor in Malayalam, he had acted with the likes of Meera Jasmine and Kavya Madhavan there. The shooting for the movie would begin 29 May. The movie would be directed by a debutant Sanjay.

Siddharth's impact on Ajay Devgan

Siddharth Kannan, popular TV host, who enjoys the reputation of keeping his audience in splits with his unmatched sense of humor is on a high. Being associated with radio for a long time and the most sought after jockey, Siddharth has recently produced, conceptualized and voiced five radio spots for Ajay Devgan's forthcoming film 'U,Me Aur Hum'. Ajay, known to be a perfectionist and a tough cracker, we hear was quite impressed with the result and the man's voice. Siddharth says, "I'm glad that he liked my work and it feels great to be appreciated by such an acting stalwart." Well if luck is on Siddharth's side all we can say is that Siddharth might soon be seen in Ajay's forthcoming projects. Sidhu as the protagonist in 'Mera Pind'

It was just a matter of time before the former Indian cricket player and hyperactive Navjot Singh Sidhu were to be seen in a pivotal role in the big screen. He captured the minds of the small screen viewers long ago itself as a judge in a famous stand up comedy competition. The Sardar who is famous for his thunderous laughing is all set to try his skills as a leading man in a Punjabi film titled as 'Mera Pind'. The film which will be released on September 5 has a story line that can inspire the people especially the youth. Produced by Reliance BIG Pictures and directed by the acclaimed film maker Manmohan Singh, the movie is a tale of an NRI played by Sidhu who returns to his native village and with his innovative ideas and leadership qualities triggers off development activities which eventually changes the whole outlook of the simple rural hamlet. Harbhajan Mann who is a reputed singer as well as an actor will also be seen in an important role. Navneet Nishaan, Gurpreet Ghugghi, Kimi Varma and Deep Dhillon are the other actors in 'Mera Pind' which aims to provide wholesome entertainment for the whole family.

Siddharth's fans get ready

After Rang De Basanti's good show, urban audiences are waiting for more from young hero Siddharth. The good news for them is that Bommarilu, starring him and Genelia is getting ready fast. The movie, produced by Dil Raju, will have its audio released on July 10. Made under the banner Sri Venkateswara Creations, debutant Bhaskar directs Bommarilu. Devisri Prasad is composing the music. Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Kota Srinivasarao, Tanikella Bharani, Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam, Chitram Srinu, Sunil and others are in the cast. Bommarilu will be a youthful romantic flick, something which Siddharth's fans expect from him.
