Snehan is one of the most promising lyricists that we have in Tamil film industry today. His recent Maambazhamam Mambazham from Pokkiri, as we all know, is a super-hit song. Snehan's lyrics for many songs including Avaravar Vazhkaiyil and Thozha Thozha from the film Pandavarbhoomi, Aarariraro from the film Raam, Adatha Attamellam from the movie Mounam Pesiyadhe are intense and they were widely appreciated. Now, this lyricist-actor has another feather on his cap. Snehan's song Orey Oru Oorula from Cheran's Thavamai Thavamirundhu has been included in the syllabus of a school in Mettur. We congratulate Snehan for this rare honour.
Snehan and Ameer
Ameer's fondness towards lyricist Snehan is well known. Snehan has written songs in all films directed by Ameer. Now he is penning the songs for all the films acted by Ameer. In other words, Snehan has become like an official lyricist of Ameer. What is the reason behind this fondness? Here is a small flashback to trace the truth. Ameer sent a tune to many lyricists to write a song for the movie 'Mounam Pesiyathey'. Since most of the lyricists are friends, the news was spread among them. They asked Ameer as to why he had done like that. But it was Snehan who wrote the song without asking any query. This seems to be the reason behind Ameer's liking for Snehan. Now the lyricist writes all the songs in 'Yogi', in which Ameer makes his debut as an actor. Snehan is also palying an important role in the movie. The power of friendship?
Lyricist Snehan turns hero
After directors being bitten by the acting bug, it is now the turn of lyricists to try their hand at acting. Noted lyricist Snehan, who won the State award last year for his song in Autograph, is making his debut as actor. The young lyricist will be playing the hero in a movie to be directed by Amarnath, a former associate of Bharathiraja. Says Snehan, 'I never aspired to act. It was the director who urged me to don the role. I took it as a challenge and reduced my body weight and today, I am ready and raring to go.' The movie would go to floors next month.
B'day wishes to Snehan
Noted lyricist Snehan celebrated his birthday on Friday. The man behind several chart busters including Aadatha Aatamellam (Mounam Pesiyadhe), Kalyanamthan Kattikittu (Saamy), Gnayabagam Varudhae (Autograph) and Arariraro (Raam), had a quite birthday celebration. The popular lyricist had recently joined AIADMK and campaigned vigorously for the party in the recently concluded State Assembly elections. Snehan, who has come up with several poetry and short story collections, feels, a good lyric combined with mesmerizing tunes always remain immortal. Having won greater accolades, Snehan is still aiming for more.
Yogi brings fortune for Snehan
We had earlier informed that lyricist Snehan would come with an important announcement in the New Year. Now we are breaking the news. The lyricist has given rest to his pen for a while. He is holding a mirror in his hands, for a change. Yes. You guessed it right. The lyricist is making his entry into acting. He is donning an important role in 'Yogi' with Ameer. The director, who had made Karthi sporting a beard, has done the same thing to Snehan. Snehan also has plans to continue acting as his full time profession, if his maiden attempt before the camera clicks. One wonders, whether Snehan had penned the lines 'Avaravar vaazhkkaiyil aayiram aayiram maatrangkal' (thousands of changes in each one's life) keeping his future in mind.
