Veteran actor Jackie Shroff has thanked director Karan Malhotra for giving him a "solid" role in the movie "Brothers", and says essaying the character was emotionally challenging. "I'd like to say that it is a film made with a lot of heart. Throughout the 30 years in the industry, I've done several emotional roles, but this is the first in which he (Karan Malhotra) has extracted a lot of things (emotions) from my heart," Jackie said here. Describing the "Agneepath" (2012) director's style of working, Jackie said: "As a director, he's from the old school, but still according to current generation. I'm thankful to him for giving me such a strong and solid role." "Brothers" stars Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra in key roles. Jackie says both of them have done "outstanding work" and and that he had a "great time" working with both of them. In the movie, Jackie is said to be playing the role of a father to Akshay and Sidharth's characters.

Vipul Shah would be a happy person after realizing his strength of direction skill that even fetches an ever sold price for his yet to shot film London Dreams. It is now officially confirmed that a deal for the film including Satellite, theatrical, video and music rights crossed a billion INR mark. Theme of the film is based on the contemporary Asian underground music group's rise and fall. The film starring Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan will go for shoot in September and mainly in London. Based on the track record of the Producer-Director which includes recent hit Singh is Kinng, Aankhein, Waqt'€”Race Against Time and Namaste London, The Indian Film company has bought the rights for such mammoth price. Global Indian musician A R Rahman is composing music for this Indi-Rock band based film which is an unconventional Bollywood musical genre.
Solid Bookings For Kotigobba 2
The online bookings for Kotigobba 2, which is scheduled to release this Friday(Aug 12) is open and as expected, response has been good. Trade Pundits expect the movie to get more than 150 shows in multiplexes on day 1. Single screens have already opened their bookings and response has been good so far. However, bookings in multiplexes are expected to open later today. As per the distributors, early morning shows are confirmed in 10-15 single screens and count may increase depending on the response. Special fans' show is planned in Prasanna Theater, Magadi Road on Thursday night and this will be the first ever show of the movie. Tickets were sold out for the special show within a few hours. Prominent members of Kotigobba 2 team are expected to be part of this show. We hear that already 250 odd theaters have signed the agreements to play Kotigobba 2. Trade expected the count to reach 300 but looking at the response, it may touch 350 mark which will be the highest ever for a Kannada cinema in Karnataka. The movie will be played in both the screens of Veeresh, and this shows the confidence exhibitors/distributors have on the film. The long festive weekend and the number of screens might prove beneficial for the movie. On the social media front, the movie is trending on Twitter for the past few days and this shows the buzz movie carries on social media. In times when other language movies trend in Karnataka, it's good to see Kannada movie trending for such a long duration.

The advance bookings for Mega Power Star Ram Charan starrer Dhruva have opened a week in advance. From the day one, the advance bookings have been satisfactory, and the film unit is expecting career best and grand openings for Ram Charan. The film Dhruva, an official remake of Tamil hit film Thani Oruvan is hitting the theatres on 9th December. The multiplexes in Hyderabad are yet to open the bookings, but the Prasads Imax has opened the bookings for the film. So far, there are 22 shows for Dhruva in Prasads including the normal shows as well as Large Screen shows. There is a total of five 8.45 AM shows, and almost all of the shows are filling fast currently. The makers are also very much busy in the promotions of the film. Allu Aravind produced the film on Geetha Arts banner, and Surender Reddy is the director.
