Soundarya Jayamala is following in the footsteps of her peers in the film industry and got herself a body tattoo in the weekend. Soundarya, who made her debut last year alongside Upendra in the film Godfather says that getting a tattoo is not as easy as it made to sound. She realised that it also pains. She has said, "Anyone that tells you tattoos don't hurt, are lying! It hurts like crazy but nothing you cant take." Now we believe the paparazzi will try to spot the tattoo whenever Soundarya makes a public appearance. Meanwhile the actress rescued two pups earlier in the week. Two pups that were dumped in a gutter on July 27. She has adopted them and took them to a veterinarian for a checkup. No doubt Jayamala is proud of her 'activist' daughter.
Remembering Soundarya
The third death anniversary of famous actress Soundarya was observed on Tuesday. A popular star in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada filmdom, Soundarya died in a plane crash near Bangalore on 17 April, 2004 when she was on her way to Andhra Pradesh to campaign for BJP. As the news of her death spread, pall of gloom descended on the South Indian film industry then. The actress had played heroine to almost all prominent heroes including Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth and Chiranjeevi among others. She has won several awards and evinced keen interest in social service activities. Known for her acting prowess, she was one of the few actresses who relied on acting skills rather than skin show. Soundarya award goes to Sneha
The Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh Lalit Kala Academy have come together to constitute an award in the name of actress Soundarya, who died in a air mishap a couple of years ago. The first edition of the award will be presented to actress Sneha, who is busy acting in various South Indian languages. The award committee is headed by Sai Kumar. Announcing the award, Sai Kumar said, 'Soundarya was a talented actress whose acting prowess won her admiration all over the country. We chose to honor an actress for her contribution to film industry to be bestowed with an award being named after Soundarya'. On choosing Sneha, Sai Kumar said, 'after Soundarya, it is Sneha who has won a name for herself playing versatile roles. In Telugu and Tamil film industry, she seems to have taken up the place left vacant by Soundarya. A right honor for the right actress'.
Soundarya Rajinikanth in 'Kathanayakadu'
The name Rajinikanth spells magic even if there is another name before it. The superstar's younger daughter Soundarya who runs a Computer generated Imagery studio 'Ocher' will be part of the famous 'Cinema Cinema' song in 'Kathanayakadu'. As already reported, the song is a tribute to 75 years of South Indian Cinema and superstar Rajinikanth himself. The song will also delve into the working atmosphere of all the technicians who have come together in making the film 'Kathanayakadu'. Since Soundarya is in charge of the 'graphics' part, she has been shot in a 'working mode' in her office. Similarly, G. V. Prakash has also been shot in a 'working mode'. Chandramukhi also had its director P. Vasu, producer Ramkumar and music director Vidyasagar egging on the audience by shouting 'Repeat' in the song 'Devuda'.Devuda'. Soundarya Rajinikanth joins Chennai-600028 bandwagon!
Superstar Rajinikanth's second daughter Soundarya joins the young Chennai 600028 production team. Soundarya's graphics company, Ocher Studios, will be doing the computer graphics and animation for Chennai 600028. The entire film will be put through the Digital Intermediate (DI) process to enhance the quality of film similar to what we saw in the films Black and Sarkar. It is a matter of interest to note that Ocher Studios has already worked on Chandramuki, Kalvanin Kadali, Sandakozhi and Chennai Kadhal.
Soundarya plans another Rajni special
There will be more Rajni show from his daughter Soundarya. After completing the animation film titled 'Sultan The Warrior', the creative young girl of Super Star plans to bring out a special DVD on her father. The DVD will be a compilation of selected scenes from Rajnikanth's movies with voice over. The DVD will feature the best of Rajni and would be a delight to Rajni fans. The DVD, which is expected to map the travel of the star through his films, will sure be a collectors' item. Soundarya will start the work for this DVD once she wraps up her current project, 'Sultan The Warrior'.
