SP Balasubrahmanyam has posed an inconvenient question to biggies in those film industries where there is a proposal to ban dubbed movies. Saying that, better movies have to be made if possible, but good movies from other languages should never been obviated from being dubbed, SPB said that dubbing is a great process. Speaking at the launch of a research-oriented book on dubbing into Telugu, SPB said he had debuted as a dubbing artiste with the film Manmatha Leela on the prodding of music director Chakravarthi. He also recalled how the legendary Shivaji Ganesan endeared himself to the Telugu audience through the voices of Dasaratha Ramayya, KVS Sharma and Jaggayya. "Dubbing is a great art. It shouldn't be looked down upon," he added. The event was attended by Vennelakanti, Guruva Reddy, and Paidipala (the author), among others.

What didn't SP Balu like about Hyderabadis?
Renowned playback singer SP Balasubrahmanyam wasn't happy with the fact that a lot of drinking water is being wasted at events when people of drought-hit areas are struggling to get a spoonful of water to drink. SP Balu took to Facebook to express his displeasure over the wastage of water. His FB Post reads, 'Hi Dear All. Since couple of days, I was in Hyderabad, attending lots of family functions. In every occasion all the guests were served with bottles of mineral water. It was paining to see that most of the guests had a swig and left the bottle on the table or below their seat and left. The bottles were taken away by the cleaning department, and remaining water in the bottles was dumped into sinks. What a waste !!!'. The Legendary Singer advices Guests to take away the bottle while leaving for using the remaining water for future use. Or else, He wants the Organisers to collect full/partly-full bottles and use the left out water for a good purpose. Don't you think SPB made a noteworthy suggestion? The next time you attend an event, Make sure water wasn't wasted and don't feel ashamed to do the right thing!
