Lagadapati Sridhar, who made entry into film industry on the banner of Larsco Entertainements brought out two silver jubilee hits like 'Yevadigola Vadidi' and 'Style'. However, his third film 'Viyyalavari Kayyalu' failed to reach expectations. In order to regain the past glory, Sridhar is planning to do a film with Srinivasa Reddy, who is giving successive hits like 'Adirindayya Chandram, Tata Birla Madhyalo Laila, Yamagola' and the recent 'Bommana Brothers Chandana Sisters'. One more film 'Kuberulu' is nearing completion. Moreover, Sridhar chose Srikanth as the hero and it would be a repeat combination for Srinivasa Reddy after Yamagola. It is also further learnt that 'Bhale Chancelay' is the title under consideration for the flick.
Singeetham Srinivasa Rao to direct 'Thyagaiah'
Adding to the current trend of devotional movies', the biography of Saint Poet Thyagaraja has been chosen once again to adorn the silver screen. Singeetham Srinivasa Rao who directed the musical hit movies like Abhinandana and Neerajanam to Telugu Cinema, will direct the film. Earlier, this biography was directed by Chittor V.Nagaiah in 1946, with himself in the title role, and then by Venkata Ramana Mullapoodi & Bapu in 1981, with JV Somayajulu in the title role. J.K.Bharavi, who contributed the scripts for movies like Annamaiah, Sri Rama Dasu and Pandurangadu, will be the writer for this flick. Ilayaraja is the music director. Ashok Kumar wields the camera and the producer of the film is Ramana Murthy. The Cast is yet to be announced and the movie will start shooting from September.
Srinivas Avasarala laurelled for 'Ashta Chamma'
'Ashta Chamma' featuring Nani, Swathi, Srinivas Avasarala and Bhargavi as hero and heroines was directed by Mohanakrishna Indraganti. Produced by RamMohan on Artbeat Capital Cinema banner, the movie has been well acclaimed and attained fame for the director.This small budget film has also become a commercial hit. Srinivas Avasarala an NRI, played the second lead (Anand) in 'Ashta Chemma'. His portrayal reminds the character of 'Gireesham' from the classic drama of 'Gurajada', with his comic timing and wit. Obviously, he is getting tremendous appreciation for his performance. The movie makers who observed his ease in performing the role are crowding the actor offering him roles in their upcoming films. From reliable sources it has been learnt that an associate of Jayanth C.Parjaniya has approached him to offer a role recently.
Srinivas Reddy to direct Naga Chaitanya, Hansika
There has been buzz from few months that Srinivas Reddy and Naga Chaitanya are teaming up for Hello Brother remake and Kamakshi Kala Movies will produce the film. But looks like the remake film has been shelved and Naga Chaitanya has given nod to Srinivas Reddy for a fresh script and the film will be produced by C.Kalyan. Naga Chaitanya will pair up with the beautiful Hansika in the film. The romantic comedy entertainer will also have Brahmanandam in a prominent role. Akula Siva is providing the story. The regular shooting of this untitled movie will begin from October month and Anup Rubens will compose the tunes. Stay glued to this space for more updates of the film.

When the final result is almost out, audiences are addressing JNR as Srinivas Reddy film and none talking about Shiva Raj Kanumuri. Generally, directors take a major credit share during promotions. When director and producer are the same, automatically he fights for more recognition. But, Srinivas Reddy’s domination is clearly visible during pre release publicity activities and organizing public premier show. It is not an over exaggeration, plenty in media circles doesn’t know how Shiva Raj Kanumuri looks. What they know is; JNR is a solo Srinivas Reddy show. Gollapudi Srinivas Memorial Award for 'Vanaja' director
Domalapalli Rajnesh, who had directed 'Vanaja' was awarded the Gollapudi Srinivas Memorial Award for this year. It may be mentioned here that popular writer and artiste Gollapudi Maruthi Rao had instituted the award in his son's name, who died while shooting a film a few years ago. The award was presented to Domalapalli Rajnesh at a function held at Chennai recently. Popular Bollywood artiste and former Union minister, Shot Gun Satrughan Sinha, noted heroine Ramyakrishna attended the programme. It may be recalled here that Rajnesh had also bagged the best debutant director award at the Berlin Film Festival for his film 'Vanaja'. After receiving the award, Ramesh promised to bring out many more good movies in future.
