Katrina strikes a pose with Julianne Moore

Actress Katrina Kaif, who is attending the 68th Cannes International Film Festival as a brand ambassador of L'Oréal Paris, made for a picture perfect moment with Hollywood actress Julianne Moore here. Katrina posed with her L’Oréal Paris co-ambassador Moore just before heading for her debut on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet. The two walked the red carpet on Wednesday night, and they spoke there for approximately five to seven minutes. “They spoke about the number of films that Katrina has done and how she learned Hindi for Bollywood. Not only this, they also complimented each other on the dress and makeup that they donned for the red carpet,” said a source. The "Bang Bang!" actress, who is currently busy shooting for “Fitoor” and “Jagga Jasoos”, will be shooting with Moore for L'Oréal Paris on Thursday and spoke about how they were looking forward to it. The film festival began on Wednesday and will go on till May 24. Moore, who won the Best Actress Award at the Cannes International Film Festival 2014 but was unable to receive it last year, was presented with the honour at the ongoing edition's Mini-Palme.

Jimmy Shergill strikes - finally!

After a spate of unsuccessful outings, Jimmy Shergill has finally struck gold in the form of 'Tom Dick and Harry'! Though appreciation has always come for this ever-youthful actor since he made his debut with 'Maachis' till his most recent 'Umar', box office success has been far and few. Last few months have been especially harsh for him with public response to his films like 'Silsiilay, 'Yahaan' and 'Umar' being far from encouraging. Critical success came but the moolah was missing! Decent response to his 'Tom Dick and Harry' may finally change fortunes for Jimmy who now has films like 'Yun Hota To Kya Hota', 'Munnabhai 2nd Innings' and 'Eklavya-The Royal Guard' lined up one after another. In addition, he also has lead roles in films like 'Rehguzar', 'Delhi Heights' and 'Khaffa' that should also see a release this year.

Deepak Tijori strikes finally with Tom, Dick, Harry and Himesh

Finally it took four men to get Deepak Tijori an elusive hit, and each of them gave their all to make 'Tom Dick and Harry' a success. After a hat trick of flops in the form of 'Oops' [drama], 'Khamosh' [thriller] and 'Fareb' [drama], Tijori is now laughing along with the audience for his latest film that belongs to the comic genre. Himesh Reshammiya, Dino Morea, Jimmy Shergill and Anuj Sawhney made it possible for the medium budgeted 'Tom Dick and Harry' to comfortably sail through at the box office. Celina Jaitley and Kim Sharma indeed added to the glamour quotient but it was primarily the strength of his male leads [and composer/singer] that has brought a smile on Deepak Tijori's face. The movie is now en route to reap in profits based on the sheer strength of first week collections.

Sajid-Wajid look to strike with 'THE KILLER'

For composers Sajid-Wajid, 'THE KILLER' could well turn out to be the most crucial soundtrack ever in their career. With their biggest hit being 'YAAD' that had songs by Sonu Nigam, they have been on the Bollywood scene for around a decade now. Still the composer duo is waiting to be firmly established amongst the wish-list of top notch film makers inspite of some popular numbers from 'Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya', 'Hello Brother', 'Chori Chori', 'Tere Naam' and most recently 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi' and 'Jawani Diwani'. Even the debut album of Rahul Vaidya, 'Tera Intezar', has been composed by them but it unfortunately didn't get its due to it being under promoted. Not to loose heart, now they are ready with the score for Vishesh Films' 'The Killer' where they promise the arrival of new sounds. Knowing Bhatts penchant for quality music, one thing is for sure that there won't be any complains as far as the album's publicity is concerned. Now it all depends upon the actual merits of the album that should get the composer duo in the reckoning all over again!
