Last time Rekha appeared on 'Rendezvous with Simi Garewal' a couple of years ago she earned a lot of bad press for weird observations about life. So, what kind of flutters will she create this time around as she appears once again on Simi's pristine white show this Sunday on Star World. She is a diva alright and with Aishwariya coming in for a severe backlash for her cosmetic portrayal of 'Umrao Jaan' Rekha, the original 'Umrao' is very much in news. And that too for all the right reasons. I hope Simi asks her about her acting supremacy rather than her eternal Amitabh Bachchan hangover. Fine, she shared a special relationship with Big B but then having been in four marriages and numerous other men that she courted, it's time she got over that AB fixation. Somehow she tends to bring in Jaya Bachchan in her conversation too and that too in a frivolous manner. It's time Rekha realized that she is a strong willed woman who has survived the onslaught of time courageously. She deserves all the applause for her acting prowess as well as the fact that she has managed to live on her own terms (Not an easy task). But her love affair with Amitabh Bachchan is an old story and why stoke an old flame again and again! It doesn't even make for a good story any more.

'The Making of Kabul Express' will be simulcast on the channels this Sunday, 10th December from 7- 8 pm. Some of the difficulties that the team faced while shooting in tough conditions has already been talked about in the media. But now you can learn first hand from debutant director how he overcame the peculiar challenges of shooting in the still hostile atmosphere immediately after the American bombing of Afghanistan. John Abraham, who essays a role based on the real life experiences of the director himself, talks about his role ' by far one of the most physically and mentally challenging one of his blossoming career. Arshad Warsi, one of India's most loved actors today, talks about how he prepared for the role, and what it was like working with the multinational and multitalented cast - Salman Shahid the Pakistani actor, Hanif Hum Ghum the Afghani actor and Linda Arsenal the American actress. Also opening up before the camera are the other cast and crew members. This is the only film that has been completely shot in Afghanistan post the Taliban regime.
Theatrical Promos of KRAZZY 4 with Sunday
When the news first came out that dad Rakesh Roshan was making a movie without son Hrithik Roshan it was difficult to swallow, but it has happened and the first theatrical promo of the movie 'Rakesh Roshan's Krazzy 4' will hit the theatres this week. 'The preview will be showcased during the screening of the movie Sunday which is scheduled for release on 25th January' says Rakesh Roshan. 'Krazzy 4 features Arshad Warsi, Irrfan Khan, Suresh Menon, Rajpal Yadav, Diya Mirza and Juhi Chawla. The story revolves around 4 mentally unstable people who run away from the mental asylum to explore the world outside' says Rakesh Roshan. The film is directed by Jaideep Sen, who earlier assisted Rakesh Roshan on Krrish and Koi Mil Gaya. The movie is scheduled for release in the month of April.
Dhruva Sunday US Collections Hampered $1M Mark
All set for Ramcharan to join Million Dollar club with ‘Dhruva’ in the US. This was the heading everywhere in media when Satuday revenues of the film was officially reported from America. Till then the movie was sailing on rapid pace raking almost $800K by Saturday. Trade analysts were hopeful of ‘Dhruva’ to reach magical mark by Sunday but CJ went against it quoting Monday as best possible day because Sunday was never a favorable day at Box Office even for super blockbusters.However, NRI Telugu audience deterred the Mega plan thrashing all hopes with meager adoration for action thriller on Sunday. Less than $150K collection on Sunday is a huge blow and ‘Dhruva’ isn’t resilient because Monday numbers are far more dismal with just $31K. At this pace ‘Dhruva’ might need two more days, say at least Wednesday to give a high five.Meanwhile, ‘Dhruva’ collections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are decent enough to be called a hit, despite adverse climatic conditions and demonetization have hit hard. Finally, ‘Dhruva’ deccelerating to a sudden first gear on Sunday from Saturday’s sixth gear made $1M mark an uphill task for Ramcharan.
25 Libyan tanks destroyed Sunday: NATO commander
A total of 25 Libyan tanks were destroyed in NATO airstrikes Sunday, the officer commanding the alliance’s operation said. The tanks were destroyed near the eastern town of Ajdabiya and the western city of Misrata. “The situation in Ajdabiya, and Misrata in particular is desperate for those Libyans who are being brutally shelled by the (Muammar Gaddafi) regime,” Xinhua quoted Lieutenant General Charles Bouchard as saying. “To help protect these civilians we continue to strike these forces hard, with 11 tanks destroyed today (Sunday) as they approached Ajdabiya and 14 tanks destroyed earlier this morning on the outskirts of Misrata,” he said. Shelling and gunfire rocked Ajdabiya for a second day Sunday, as forces loyal to Libyan leader Gaddafi launched the most sustained offensives after pulling back last month. In Misrata, Libya’s third largest city, NATO strikes had already taken out 15 tanks, bringing the total number destroyed in the city to 29. NATO took over command of the multinational operation from the United States on March 31. It has recently been criticized by Libyan rebels for low efficiency and mistaken airstrikes on rebel fighters.
